Chapter 1: Greener Pastures

The Reapers have been defeated, every known civilization banded together to prevent mutual extinction, success came at a great cost, now vast parts of the galaxy lay in ruin and are being slowly rebuilt. The power dynamics of the galaxy have shifted and in its wake is creating many opportunities for those who are brave enough to take them.

"Good, we weren't going to find a better time to take him down. Everyone on guard now, let's hide the warden and go get our prisoner in the warden's office." He looks at the Krogan, "You first." With a wry smile he drags the warden behind the deck/table/whatever, and stuffs him in the space under it to keep him hidden from view.

Bata'Vek pats down the Warden before they squirrel him away in a corner, hoping to find anything useful, like a passkey or something. "Right you are. That's a good first place to hold, then wherever we can control the Comms. The last thing we want is reinforcements running in."

"Yep. Lemme know when you're good to go." Grzag sips his coffee, then walks to the door. He brings the cup with him.

Before hiding the man, Bata'vek gives the warden a quick pad down and finds a small emergency button and comm that was disguised as lapel pin, without hesitation Bata takes it. With the warden securely stashed in the commissary the group moves back into the interior hallway of the barge, everything is quiet and no alarms have been raised, the normally clear windows of the warden's office are now frosted over, an obvious sign of the current flowing through it which opaques it. Nicol goes ahead and places himself to the left of the door while Scarr takes the right, Bata'vek brings up the rear covering the group's 6.

They count down and open the door, inside they find two very surprised guards and a very naked prisoner.
You got the drop on them, let's get this surprise round of actions out of the way before we roll initiative, if necessary.

Grzag barrels into the room and swings a big meaty knuckle sandwich at one of the guards.
Move, and attack with Stunning Fist.

I want to charge, but I think there are allies in my way.

Bata'Vek swings his arm in a backhand motion, and his omni-tool lets loose ball lightning into the nearest guard.
Use 'Overload' on one of the guards. 2d6 Damage to Shields, 1d6 Organic. Will DC 16 or Stunned for 1 Round.

Grzag barrels into the room in a mighty dash, running pass the naked prisoner and lands a powerful fist on the guard's face, knocking him back against the wall, he lands with a meaty thunk before falling to his knee, he is down but not stunned.

Bata'Vek stretches his arm, his omni tool coming alive and letting out an electric blast that hits the other trooper immediately sending him to the floor, his muscles cramping up and contorting him into a ball. His shield crackling around him as the mass effect barrier is pushed to it's limits.

Grzag attacks using Stunning Fist Roll D20+1= 21 (Possible Crit) Confirmation: 2+1=3 (Not a Crit).
Alliance Trooper Fortitude Save vs DC 11 = 16+9=26 (Success) HP DMG: 6

Nicol is a step behind Bata'Vek, his sniper rifle out and in hand, but he too points his omni tool at the guards. A blast of electrical power fires out as he attempts to overload the guard's shields aimed at the one that Grzag's hit in an attempt to remove any of the man's shielding. "Surrender and no one needs to get hurt any more! We don't want to hurt you, well maybe the Krogan's do, but hands up and this can all be over."
Overload the one Grzag hit.

The shield around the standing guard crackles as he is hit with the full force of Nicol's blast, electricity courses through his shield and a small amount of it trickles through but it is not enough to bring the guard down.

From the door frame Scarr's grips her fist as it is enveloped by the sheen of mass effect, she outstretches her arm and the guard that Grzag punched goes flying and slams against the back wall of the room. His head hitting the wall and bursting like a ripe melon before the limp body collapses to the floor leaving an ever increasing puddle of blood.

Alex steps through the threshold of the door his hands glowing behind the sheen of mass effect he extends them, a singularity forms behind the standing guard pulling him back then a small implosion rocks the guard and slams him down on the floor.

With both guards neutralized the only person left in the room is the prisoner that the crew helped escort into the prison barge. He feebly stands by the back wall shaking in fear.
Alex uses warp on guard 1d20 = 14 (Success), DMG 2d8+4 = 14, Guard is KOed.
