Chapter 1: Greener Pastures

The Reapers have been defeated, every known civilization banded together to prevent mutual extinction, success came at a great cost, now vast parts of the galaxy lay in ruin and are being slowly rebuilt. The power dynamics of the galaxy have shifted and in its wake is creating many opportunities for those who are brave enough to take them.

The female Krogan grunts, in a happy way, at the mayhem so far. "The amount of skull crushing has been...adequate. Ok, if we don't want a loud fight in comms, how about we lure the people in comes to this room somehow? We could uhh...pretend to be the warden. Send an electronic message to the people in comms to come here for some inspection? We knock them out, and then go to comms ourselves?"

That's Marcelo Falha. At least, Grzag hopes it is. He had been pronouncing the alien's name in the mirror back at their flat in funny ways, "Mar-Sell-Oh, Fall, Ha!" To remember it. Stupid memory practice, but it works. The aliens know their brain games.

Blood's been spilled. Kaester won't like that. Big deal, he thinks. He excuses it like most krogan do. Couldn't help it. A job's a job, and the alien was just too weak. The other guy took a biotic hit full frontal, and he isn't dead. He isn't bleeding, anyway. Grzag gives him a mental salute. That one might get stronger one day - for an alien.

At any rate, he quickly nods at a glance to Bata'Vek, as if to say "Do your thing"... whatever that "thing" is.

Immediately after, he turns to the frightened man, roving a dismissive look over him, and says, "Stop whimpering, someone's getting sprung. What's your name?"

The whimpering naked man cocks his head sideways and looks at the large Krogan towering over him, obvious confusion reflected on his face, "What do you mean what's my name? You know my name! You brought me here!" The man hangs his head still reeling from being caught in the middle of a fight and watching a man's head explode, "Mattheo Nassau, my name is Mattheo Nassau."

Huh, it's not him. Well, that's too bad, moving on. Grzag balls a fist and gets ready to knock the guy out...

Nicol moves to the guard with his head split open. "Unfortunate, we should attempt to disable and not kill moving forward. As best we can." He then searches the guard for a key card or other unlocking device. He watches the prisoner knocked out.

Bata'Vek looks around for the most logical console that would be useful, then gets to work.

"He's a criminal who deserves to be here. Go ahead and knock him out, but I guess try not to kill him..."

Scarr doesn't sound like she cares TOO much though.

Grzag gives Kaester a look, and feeling a shred of self-awareness and restraint from his presence, he biffs the prisoner upside the head for a clean knockout.
I figure I'll just move us along and not deliberate over this. Leaving him to run around and maybe even snitch would not be optimal anyway.

Deftly Bata'vek makes his way around the warden's secure system, the console tries to resist his attempts but it's efforts are futile, it takes Bata'vek a couple of minutes to gain access of the console and the internal systems of the barge.

Once inside he is greeted with a simple menu interface highlighting various data entries. The list reads.

[ARRIVALS]
[INMATE LOGS]
[WORK ORDERS]
[INCIDENT REPORTS]
[COMM LOGS] [E]
[CONTROL PANEL]

Rolls
Bata'vek Hacking: 1d20 + 8 = 18 vs DC: 15 (Success)

Grzag sucker punch prisoner 1d20 + 4 = 23 (Success)

Nicol moves to watch the door, he kneels down to make himself a smaller target and watches for signs that they have been discovered letting Bata'Vek do his thing.
