I'm thoroughly enjoying this campaign. Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to participate in this rich and intriguing setting.

It'll go just fine unless you start deciding to bring in men to hit on my mother. Then I would have to challenge you to a Duel! *initiate sword swishing sounds*

Okay just to put this out there.

The plan IC is for a rather elaborate dinner party at the magistrate's estate. I would seem everyone has managed to link themselves into a reason to attend. What was going to be just a few people has turned into a gran affair. You will each receive a written invitation to attend (either alone or as a guest of your respective 'masters').

There are a minor things still going, and a few private PMs going on. Once finished up we'll get the party started. Also I think some XP awards are in order for the find RP up to this point. Watch for an OOC post about such things.

Sweet!
V, do you want XP expenditures tracked publicly somewhere or just keep it on the sheets?

We should have a Development Tab added probably. you can track it on the sheet, doesn't need to be public

Setting question: Could Ryoko reasonably approach Daidoji Juro herself, or would that be a breach of etiquette? What about Ashaina Kyo?

At this function, because of the party atmosphere you can approach anyone you like

@Vardaen, I don't know if you just haven't gotten to it yet, but I'm waiting for Daidoji Juro and Doji Aiko to reply to Ryoko's words in my last post.

So what I think we can try and do is makes some rolls for the conversation at dinner.

Some options, and you can give me others:

Survive the dinner without coming off poorly.
Gain a positive reputation among the eyes of the more established samurai.
Learn a piece of information on a target of the party.
Plan some gossip or rumors.

Are you attempting to gain something? Learn something? Discredit someone? Etc...

We can use Sincerity, Courtier, Etiquette all with various Emphasis

Would also accept creative uses like Storytelling, Music, Intimidation, Stealth (do you want to slip off and look around the estate?), Kenjutsu (do you want to entertain the guests with a kata demo?), Etc...

I don't want to get too bogged down with a dinner party.
