Chapter 5B: Allegiances

After Order 66, few Jedi dare to venture outside the shadows—rumors of the dark and terrible Darth Vader haunting even their waking moments. Yet, some Jedi find this life of fear unbearable. The Empire is always watching, and Vader himself is eager to confront any Jedi that might bring him closer to the whereabouts of his betrayer, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Chapter 5B: Allegiances

The galaxy is a big place. Janos doesn't dare voice the sarcastic thought aloud.

Janos eats what is given to him and goes through the equipment to see what he has available. He isn't quite ready to inquire about his allies. If he completes one mission successfully, perhaps he will have earned enough trust and perhaps a modicum of freedom. Satisfied, he tries the door to see if he has access yet.

The doors does not open for Janos and so he waits ...

The next morning, food is delivered to his room along with a backpack. The backpack contains various equipment needed for the mission. In addition, he finds a black lightsaber and black armor. The armor is the same design as the Grand Inquisitor wears with the Empire's logo on the shoulder.

A quick study of the blade finds there's no crystals in the handles. He does find the design interesting in that the handles can detach to form two single bladed lightsabers or reattach to form a single blade. Additionally, when the two handles are detached, there's a slot that allows them to be fitted to form a double lightsaber.
Standard inquisitor lightsaber, it has the spinning handles, and the handle can be detached into two handles for two blades, or reattached to form a double lightsaber

So
a) Single bladed lightsaber when the two handles form a O "circle" which allows spinning
b) Two single bladed lightsabers when the two handles are detached and are now "D" shaped
c) A double bladed lightsaber when the two D Ds are inverted attached so like D D but upside down D, etc.
A few hours after breakfast is served and the backpack delivered to him, troopers arrive to escort him. They require his hands to be bound by stun cuffs which could send an electric impulse to stun him at any moment. After donning the cuffs, he is lead to a shuttle outside the compound.

As he exits the building, he realizes that he hadn't been moved from the previous location on Mustafar where they were captured. He watches as a squad of black armored troopers guard the shuttle as equipment and another person is being loaded onto the ship.

Within the shuttle, he notices Jedi Knight Granite restrained and bound within a ray shield preventing his movement. The ray shield also prevent sound from either side.
once you're bound in the restraints on the ship we'll depart

Granite is similarly bound by stun cuffs, but the main difference is he has a pack of engineering tools and technical instruments strewn somewhat messily around him, and is tapping away on a large datapad. Outside of being a prisoner, bound and walled away by a ray shield, he looks just like when he was back at the Jedi Base, working on their scanner problem.

Janos sighs and offers his hands for the cuffs. When he spots Granite, hope kindles within him and he reaches out with the Force to sense the other Jedi.
If Janos is close enough, he wants to get a read on Granite.
