Book 1, Act II: Into the Churlwood
Myri moves farther into the cavern, her mastery over Shadow giving her sight where others might struggle. While Amelak and Rusilka charged forward, their backs necessarily were left unprotected. The Oracle sees strange unnatural dogs in a kennel area. They were asleep and are starting to wake up with the fighting. She pulls supernatural darkness around her, wrapping it protectively around her like a cloak.
The goblin guard slashes at Rusilka with his dogslicer, but can't penetrate the metal banded mail. It grimaces, angry but alone.
Well, only so alone. The goblin dogs behind them are waking up angry, and sounds echo further down, indicating that other goblins have been alerted and are on their way too.

"Here they come," says the dwarf. She swings the remaining sentry, but goes wide, so she shuffles back a few steps to block its path forward.

Book 1, Act II: Into the Churlwood
Rusilka's swing goes wide, her strike being easily blocked by the goblin sneak. Unfortunately for it, this leaves its flank completely vulnerable to the teeth and claws of Amelak. The dragon's lunge forward with its jaws completely misses and instead collides with a pile of something nasty, and she gags and almost loses her lunch. Luckily her talons manage to catch flesh and gut the goblin until it is downed.
Myri in the rear shoots her crossbow when the first goblin dog comes out of its den, hitting it in its chest and almost killing it.
The goblin dog's return attack misses, and the second goblin dog can't get close enough yet to attack too.
Up front what sounds like at least half-a-dozen goblins coming from deeper in the den run towards the two warriors in the tight passageway, and a deeper bellow of rage sounds from the darkness beyond their sight.

Rusilka swears in Dwarven. "Dragon, keep th' dogs busy!"
She stalks toward the goblins filing in toward her, and shouts down the cavern in Varisian: "Hear that, ye snot-stains? Dragon incomin'!" roaring at the end of her warning, combining her fiercest yell with the threat of a creature who could eat a goblin in a single gulp. There's definitely a whiff of eau de mead on her breath.

Book 1, Act II: Into the Churlwood
Rusilka tries to intimidate the goblins with a roar, but between not speaking their language and their rabid rage at being invaded, they are less than impressed and continue their attack.
Myri steadily retreats towards her allies, firing as she goes.
Amelak moves back to reinforce Myri, taking a swipe from a goblin and moving to the wounded goblin dog. The goblin's attack misses, but Amelak takes down the lead goblin dog with one bite.
The goblins at the front swarm around Rusilka now that Amelak is no longer helping to block the way. The first the runs past her she slices down, but three more surround her. Their attacks are feeble, and only one manages to slightly penetrate her armor, but in addition to the three surrounding she can see at least two more readying themselves to run through, and coming behind them perhaps some sort of Chieftain with a more normal-looking wolf next to him.

Realizing her misstep, Rusilka turns and takes a swing at the goblin who managed to slip past her, aiming to eliminate her flank and keep the attention of the greenskins on herself.

Book 1, Act II: Into the Churlwood
Rusilka hacks strongly at the goblin behind her, but the agile creature ducks under the axe's swing. At the same time Myri takes a couple steps back towards the cave entrance. She tries shooting the goblin she backed away from, but likewise misses.
Amelak tears apart the last goblin dog, although given her nausea she hits twice instead of three times. Hopefully that doesn't become normal. He then moves towards the regular goblins to back up her dwarven friend.
The goblins are raging at Rusilka and surround her even more so she has the little fiends all around her. Their dogslicer swords hit her all over. Thankfully her shield and heavy armor are study, but one of the bastards is able to stab her through one of the gaps behind her knee.
The goblin that is dressed with better materials and more jewelry takes a shortbow and aims at Rusilka. He lets two arrows fly. The first sticks in her shield, but the second gets through and buries itself in her shoulder.
The last goblin and the wolf companion of the chief move around to the short stone wall, likely planning to try to climb over it to engage rather than dealing with the chokepoint.

Bloodied and surrounded, Rusilka starts to worry, and she smashes herself against the gob separating herself from the others. Her panicked retreat leaves her open to a swing from behind...
