Re: Chapter 1: Witchlight Carnival
Jack shifts from one foot to the other. "Mr. Witch? Mr. Light? What about the girl in the pig mask? She's clearly up to no good. Should we warn the other workers to be on the lookout?"

Re: Chapter 1: Witchlight Carnival
Shiloh frowns, wondering what the forces beyond Witch and Light's control are. For the moment, she says nothing, waiting to see the effects of Quill's question. Maybe these larger forces are also connected with the force Kettlesteam believes has a hold over Witch and Light.

Re: Chapter 1: Witchlight Carnival
They look troubled, but not surprised, by the oddities they bring up. They admit that they don't know specifically who this pig lady is. Witch turns to Light and whispers, but the party's ears are all sharp enough to hear. "It must be using the mirrors as a portal from the Feywild domain of Prismeer into this world. Yet another thing to worry about."
Turning back to the group, Mister Witch takes a quick look at his Witchlight watch, then nods to Burly to escort their guests from the wagon. "Come back at the close of the evening, and we may talk further." This is a clear dismissal. Quill notes that they very pointedly do not mention anything related to any Hourglass Coven, and are somewhat perturbed at hearing those words.

Re: Chapter 1: Witchlight Carnival
Shiloh leaves reluctantly, wanting more answers than they have obtained, but hopeful that they may get more later--and that perhaps they answer questions about what force it was that stole her memories of home if it was not something they had any control over. She suspected it was connected to the other mysteries surrounding the Carnival that they were investigating.
She turns to the others and says, "Well, what shall we do until this evening? Return to the House of Mirrors and hunt for clues there?"

"Could do. I'm more troubled about that poor deer lady. But, at least she didn't disappear..." She bites her lip in thought. "They didn't answer me. Might be worried about people finding out. And did you hear them? 'Yet another thing to worry about,' and right away they think it's related to Prismeer. I think looking into this will lead us to the answers we're all looking for."

Shiloh nods. "They might tell us more tonight." She pauses for a moment. "I wonder--could they be under some sort of compulsion not to tell others certain things? Then we'd have to piece things together from clues. All the more reason to go the House of Mirrors and search for clues there."

Re: Chapter 1: Witchlight Carnival
"I would imagine they'd be close-lipped about such things," Jack says, a bit of his plucky demeanor returning once they leave the presence of the two proprietors. "I don't think the House of Mirrors will be troubling anyone again tonight. The Fey are unpredictable, but trying the same trick after it's been foiled isn't their way. I think maybe if we go to enough locations and generally make it an inopportune 'hunting ground' for them, they'll hopefully grow up bored or frustrated enough to leave the carnival alone, at least for the night."

Re: Chapter 1: Witchlight Carnival
Kettlesteam scratches the side of his head, then smooths the feathers over his ear holes again. "So, you didn't want me to return the voice to Candlefoot the Mime over at the Hall of Illusions after all? Or you want me to return it now, and you'll check in with him later on?"

Re: Chapter 1: Witchlight Carnival
Shiloh says, "Yes, let's go to the Hall of Illusions so you can return his voice. As long as we're there, we can investigate and see if we do find anything. Then we can move around to other attractions."
