How do I access the roll20 map? It's not a platform I normally use.

First sign in. If you've been added to the campaign, you can find it under My Games. Go to the Witchlight Carnival campaign page, and click Launch Game. It will load the map and Roll20's interface. In there, you can edit your sheet by clicking on your character's name in the Journal tab.

In regards the my last post, one of the quirks of my background is that I have a carnival companion (specifically a "cheery sprite"). That's who Jack was calling for. Whether she appears or not is another matter (sprites, you know).
