Name: Grong the Great
Goblin Wizard
Background Mystic Seer
Quote: "So, would you really want to know what fate has in store for you? Hmmm? Alright, if you insist, enter, and unravel the mists of times to come! Yet, be warned: It comes with a cost, of course."

When performing, he wears elegant yellow/silver robes that match his dark green skin. When off duty, he wears casual, practical clothing (explorer's clothing): sturdy leather boots, tan linen trousers, a wide belt with lots of pouches, a blue shirt and a dark grey cloak. In "performance mode" he is dramatic and mysterious, trying to do a booming voice impression, sometimes lowering it to a conspiratorial whisper. Normally, he is pretty calm, slightly shy, but sometimes plays pranks on others. He prefers listening to speaking. He reads every book he can get his hands on and has a wide knowledge on a variety of topics. His orange tabby cat "Fireball" almost never leaves his side.

He speaks little of his past and how he came to the circus, but careful listeners might piece together parts of his story by the hints he drops. He seems to have lost his goblin tribe when he was very young, wandering around in the sewers of Absalom and getting trapped in the Arcanamirium School of Magic. He hid in its corridors and unused chambers for a decade, stealing bits of food from the kitchen and listening in on lectures as well as occasionally pilfering a book from the library. In some old storage chamber, he practiced magic until he was able to work it out and became better and better, writing down his spells in an old notebook. When some wizards finally found out, he was thrown out, barely escaping with his life, holding on to his old notebook and running as fast as he could. He left Absalom just a few days later and joined the circus, taking on a different name and forming the persona of Grong the Great.

Tricks:
- He crafts beautiful fireworks but does not have material for much at the moment. He gets much of it from the circus master to attract visitors for a show.
- He works as a mystic seer in his tent and "tells" people their "future", but this is more a scam based on cold or hot reading.
- His part of the show involves low scale magic like some sleight of hand combined with the mage hand cantrip as well as some prestidigitation.

Name: Gorrik Kordain
Ancestry (Heritage): Dwarf (Strong-Blooded)
Background: Animal Whisperer
Class (Level): Ranger (1st)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Appearance and Demeanor: Gorrik is somewhat on the thin side, at least for a dwarf. He nonetheless does not lack for strength and fortitude, as well as being a good bit more nimble than is typical for a dwarf. He dresses in muted colors and keeps his hair and beard in business-like braids. In general, he presents himself in a way that is unlikely to draw attention, something intentional given that he is also shy and retiring. He is far more comfortable in the presence of animals than of other people.

Backstory
Gorrik grew up in a large dwarven city, something he found challenging, given that ever since he was a young child, he preferred to avoid people. He felt—and still feels—uncomfortable in social situations. As soon as he was able, he apprenticed himself to a hunter and trapper and spent as much time outside of the city and in the wild as possible. He grew more attuned to the natural world and soon grew skilled at taming animals. When he came of age, he decided to set out to see more of the world. At first, he roamed in the wilderness, either on his own or providing his services to wandering caravans. Recently, he has been traveling with the circus, helping to tend their animals.
