Re: Coriolis IC: THROUGH THE DARKNESS
Amir has a connection with the Merchant, so goes about servicing that Icon first. Assisting with restoration of the physical iconography, he then places several birr on the altar for sacrifice. He also roots through his possessions and finds some small jewelry to also gift to the Icon.

Zaynab keeps track of what the others are doing and begins trying to fill in the gaps in terms of finding appropriate offerings for them. She stops by the bridge periodically to check on things there. She is clearly quite anxious and will remain so until the offerings are properly made.

Re: Coriolis IC: THROUGH THE DARKNESS
Basil does some dusting around the altars and wipes with a damp sponge. That should be a sufficient token to the Deckhand. He lights the fire for the Lady and places some unburnt Arrash sticks before the Merchant atop the finery offered by Amir. He leaves, and returns from his workshop with a metallic disc with an "X" marked on one side, and drops it into the dish before the Gambler.
Perhaps the broken statues have gotten to him more than he lets on, because he reluctantly draws close to the Judge's altar and mumbles something. Nothing more audible than "my fault." Once it is all done, he snorts and leans against the doorframe.

Fayz goes to his cabin, quickly searching for things appropriate for sacrifices. Upon his return, he begins to give offerings with a practiced hand. Kneeling in front of the Gambler's ruins, he places takes out a deck of cards that was used in one of their shore leaves, placing the winning hand that he had been dealt face up with the rest of the deck on top to hold the hand in place. He then kneels in front of the Lady of Tears, silently praying as Basil had already lit the candles. To the Traveler, he takes a spare shoelace and quickly ties a knot into it before offering it. Likewise, the ex-Legionnaire burns a small paper on which he had written a prayer for the safety of both crews. To the Faceless One, Fayz pricks his finger and offers a drop of blood.
Looking at the offerings, Fayz asks "Does anyone know a good song for the Dancer?"

"I didn't know you sang, Fayz. The Dancer's not really on my wavelength. How about 'Five Little Ducks'? Or 'Sons of Mars'. If you're going to show us your pipes, I'm quite fond of that one."

"It is our responsibility to get on the wavelength of the Icons, not the other way around," Fayz replies matter-of-factly. "And if we're going for an EV entry, it would be foolhardy to scorn the Dancer's gifts. Though I was hoping someone else would sing. I would hardly consider my voice melodic, let alone an appropriate offering."

"Well, I'll do it if no one else will," says Zaynab. She kneels in front of the Dancer and sings one of the hymns she learned as a child. She is a little off key, but not so much as to offend the ear.

Iskander and Mister Kembouri join the rest of the crew's efforts to pay due tribute to the Icons and quietly join in with Zaynab's childhood hymn.
A short while later, the Chapel is returned to some semblance of order and everyone can resume their shipboard duties, with Kembouri going back to the rec room to study the deck plans of the Orun II.
A short time later, the sensors on the Narzalus ping into life, alerting the crew to another ship in sensor range!
The weak signature of the ship shows that it is travelling with it's transponder turned off and that it is showing signs of emitting far less electromagnetic radiation than usual - perhaps and indication that it is running with some vital systems turned off. But, one thing is certain, the ship on the scope is the Orun II and it is slowly heading dangerously close to the Eye of Anubar asteroid belt.

Amir moves to the sensor controls, trying to get more information than just the position and course of the Orun II. The problem is that at this range the fact that they were able to detect it at all with the transponder off and the power output lower than usual is pretty impressive. He's not going to be able to get any more details at this range.

Zaynab looks at the readings, "Do you suppose this is that gang that tried to steal this mission from us? That would explain why they seem to be trying to hide their presence." As she speaks, she tries to help Amir with his use of the sensors.
