Zaynab peers more closely in, trying to tell if the cables and like hanging from the ceiling are the result of purposefully jury-rigging or an accident.

The Orun II is an old ship, it's design centuries old and it is not unusual for the crews to have modified or jury-rigged extra conduits and power supplies throughout the ships. It would appear to be the case for this ship too, none of it seems like sabotage or other damage.

"Ah, reminds me of home." Basil trudges toward the doorway, ready to get to work.

"It looks safe," says Zaynab, "at least from a technical perspective--that looks like jury-rigging, not damage."

Fayz enter into the room and looks around. "Anything out of place in a bad way?" he asks the others, looking at the tangle of wires and realizing that's probably a difficult question.

"I can send the drone in ahead of us as before," Amir says, "although it would be nice if I'm not sending it into danger for no good reason."

Mister Kembouri, following behind adds "Most of these old bulk haulers predate the coming of the Zenith and have been patched up over the years. This isn't so unusual, though of course the blackout is most disturbing." He says.
The service central (the small room in the middle of the stern) is in darkness and you can just make out the red glow of emergency lighting coming from the viewing port in the door to the machine halls at the very back of the ship.

Zaynab says, "Once you've confirmed it's safe to do so, I can help with repairs. Maybe after this, we should head to the bridge and begin steering the ship away from the asteroid belt?"

"That'd be the idea, yeah." Basil continues down toward the glow of what must be the emergency light in machine halls. "Gimme some light up to the door back there, but I'll take it from there."

Re: Coriolis IC: THROUGH THE DARKNESS
The door to the machine halls looks heavy, with a small reinforced viewing port in the middle of the door. The light from Basil's drone allow you to see that the door appears undamaged and you can see a short distance through the viewing port, but inside the halls all you can make out is a mess of cables and the shadowy form of three huge grav engines.
A small keypad is fixed to the wall to the right of the door. The pad is dimly illuminated by a slowly pulsing red light.
