Re: TOR2: Onwards to Combe
Vidar’s axe once again bites deeply at an opponent, the goblin screaming in pain and almost dropping it’s weapon.
Targon’s spear finishes the orc, sending the foe crashing to the ground, filthy blood staining the rock where it falls.
Hugh, seeing the orc tumble to the floor at Targon’s feet, turns his attention to the injured goblin and despatches it with his long hafted axe.
Ragnarr’s sword see’s off the penultimate goblin, leaving one of the creatures remaining. The pitiful looking creature, now alone among powerful foes, sinks to it’s knees, cravenly begging for it’s life!

Fargrim leans on the axe to take a breath. "One left," he says between breaths, no kinder than he was when the fight began. "No quarter, end it quickly!"

Periwinkle runs out from her hiding place.
“Nooo!”
She looks around at the fellowship.
“It gave up, didn’t it? Then we shouldn’t kill it!”
She notices the frowns on her companions’ faces.
“Maybe… maybe we could question it?”

The former captive stands and cautiously takes a step forward. "I know not what injury this pitiful creature has done to you or others, and I will not stand in the way, but I beseech you to think before you slay, without need, an enemy who has surrendered."

"Need, drives me," the senior dwarf manages to say. "An agent of the enemy, is true to its nature, and no other."
He labors as he tries to calm his breathing, wishing to strike truer than huffing and puffing can allow. For the moment, the floor is open for others to say their peace.

With it's hands over it's head, as if trying to protect itself from unseen blows, the goblin screeches "Mercy, mercy we was only doin' what we was told! The orcses, they had us take the filthy elf with us... Says they'd pay us if we tooks it south to the white old one.."

"Who is this 'white old one' of whom you speak, goblin?" the woman asked.

Vidar nods at Periwinkle's words. "Mercy is one of the things that sets up apart from the Enemy." He looks at the goblin. "We will need to take him prisoner though."
As the goblin pleads, Vidar adds, "Yes, tell us of this white one and things may go better for you."

Re: TOR2: Onwards to Combe
The goblin looks back and forth as Fulgrim and the other's speak, eyes wide in horror or surprise, it is difficult to tell.
To the elf, it speaks "Don't know, don't know, just the orcses said he was south, south down the long road, friend of manses and orcses."
When Vidar talks of taking it prisoner however, the goblin becomes very agitated, it's eyes darting back and forth, wringing it's hands and stamping it's feet. "No, no, no, no..." It stammers, looking for a way to escape.

Fargrim wrinkles his nose.
"Folly, Master Vidar. Hmm, the trade does not rankle me so much, though if we take it prisoner, it is destined for the block, it knows this."
"Goblin, you will answer our questions before we let you go, then I wish to never see your face again."
