TOR2: Onwards to Combe

It is the year 2965 of the Third Age and the Shadow is returning. Twenty-four years ago, an alliance of Elves, Men, and Dwarves defeated a horde of Orcs and Wild Wolves, under a sky darkened by Giant Bats, inaugurating a new era of prosperity for the Free Peoples. But two decades is a long time for peace to last, and in many dark corners of the earth a shadow is lengthening once again.

Rumours of strange things happening outside the borders of civilised lands are spreading with increasing regularity and, while they are dismissed by most as fireside-tales and children’s stories, they sometimes reach the ears of individuals who recognise the sinister truth they hide.

These are restless warriors, curious scholars and wanderers, always eager to seek what was lost or explore what was forgotten. Ordinary people call them adventurers and, when they prevail, they hail them as heroes. But if they fail, no one will even remember their names.

Fargrim is shocked to see an orc suffering the daylight to stand before him. He sees red. Reason takes flight, and he will not hold back from throwing himself at the orcs. A grain of thought remains that he bends toward cunning, ganging up on the same orc with Targon.
Forward stance and attack. Declared Enemy Lore.

Seeing two of his compatriots team up on the one orc, Ragnarr decides to put his focus on the other. He takes a more aggressive stance, and slashes at the marauder with sword.
Action: Change stance to forward, orc the other orc. Sorry for the delay, I'm not 100% on the Roll20 character sheet and what to enter for combat roll.

Vidar strikes out at one of the goblins surrounding their captive, his axe swinging and landing a nasty blow on the creature, not quite killing it but leaving it perilously close to falling.

Targon steps forward, blocking the way of one of the burly looking orc, his spear finding a weak point in its patchwork armour and piercing a vital organ, sending the creature to the floor, it’s life essence spent.

Hugh’s long hafted axe sweeps a goblin aside, killing it instantly and ensuring it falls to the ground in two different places. The captive held between the two goblins tumbles to the ground also, with the other goblin rising to its feet and drawing a wicked looking long knife.

With the orc facing Targon dead, Fargrim’s fury is vented on the other fell creature, his axe biting deep at a weak point in the orc’s armour, spotted courtesy of the dwarf’s experienced eye. Ragnarr attacks the same foe however, his sword blow is deflected by the orc’s armour.

The orc recovers from Fargrim’s blow and strikes back at the dwarf, fuelled by its hatred of his kin, it’s scimitar inflicting a heavy blow which Wearies him.

The injured goblin strikes out at Vidar, but it is weak and the attack misses by some way. The remaining two goblins stand in front of their captive, now lying on the floor by themselves.

One orc and three goblins remain, one of which is looking near death. The captive is now able to act to escape from it's bonds.

Fargrim is now Weary due to Endurance loss/Load rating. (The orc got 3 Successes. Sorry!)

Vidar moves to strike one of the goblins near the fallen captive, not wanting to give their foe a chance to strike the fallen person.

Fargrim staggers two dwarf steps back with a besieged groan, and raises his axe again to take another swing.
Forward Attack the orc again. This time, resolve my action last in the party queue. If the orc is down, I'll go for a goblin.

I decided to add my roll. He whiffed!

Falling to the floor, the captive cried out in surprise, but seized the moment. Reaching with bound hands, the captive ripped the filthy blindfold off to reveal the features of a young-looking woman. Now able to see, she struggled for a few moments and flung off her restraints before scrabbling quickly away from her erstwhile captors.

Targon continues his steady slaughter of the enemies of civilization. His blood is still running cold that orcs and goblins have been found in force so far from Mordor, but he has been trained to fight these dark creatures and continues to do so. He faces off with the last remaining orc, drawing the attention of the most dangerous foes to him.

Hugh, still running on adrenaline, hardly is almost surprised how quickly the last orc when down. “That was a luck blow”, he thinks to himself. Well, if luck is favoring him, he might as well press that luck, he glances to see if the captive is safe and deciding that they appear to be so, he lunges toward the next orc he sees.
Long-hafted axe, 17 with great success (unless enemy has a parry greater than 1)

With terrified fascination and awe, Peri watches her companions fight from her hideout, totally forgetting to join in.

Ragnarr, seeing his companions focusing on the orc, decides to focus his efforts elsewhere. Maintaining his forward stance, the Barding thrusts his blade at the injured goblin, hoping to remove it from the battle before it can do more harm.
