Urok - Only War

Post by Vardaen » Thu Sep 20, 2012 10:59 pm

Character Urok Ogyrn Imperial Guard of the Catachan 14th Recon

Player: MadVlat

Game: Warhammer 40K Only War (Imperial Guard Expansion of the 40K Universe of Games) This is the Intro adventure that I got at BrenCon, originally for the Free RPG Day.

Game Start: Thu Aug 02, 2012 12:46 pm

Urok's Death: Fri Sep 14, 2012 12:33 pm

The group came to a broken rope bridge and was ambushed by Orks with Big Shootas from on high. The Orks had some lucky rolls and in one round they focused fire on Urok and killed him in a withering hail of bullets.

Death:
Jene is right, Orks aren't known to be too patient. You've been standing here debating, plenty of people have looked up at the hiding location of the Orks. The greenskins finally just open fire on you as you plan how to cross, or how to make cover. The very well hidden Big Shoots just ramp up and rain hot lead down on you. Large targets make for easy targets and the Orks at least go with Urok's plan to make him a distraction as both barrels are trained on the Ogry and just fire mercilessly down at him.

The hail of bullets is a relentless shower of death that slams into Urok over and over and over again. The massive Ogryn can not dodge or move out of the way in time and he is hit in the chest and arms several times. His armor is blown to pieces, and his tough hide can only take so much. Finally a shot hits him in the head and Urok topples backwards with a WUMP that kicks up dust and sprays his blood about. The twitching leg and bleeding skull are signs enough for men (and women) like you that Urok is very much dead and beyond help. The rain of hot bullets, large bullets, cotninue to pound the ground around you straffing closer to you now and death is sure to come to the rest of you in time.
