Re: The Race
Bjorn rolls his shoulders back, gathers his strenght and courage.
When the ranger hits the shore he plans to intercept his attack with an attack of his own.

Re: The Race
When the Rathgar hits the shore, Bjorn steps aside and plunges his dagger into his foe's shoulder. Quickly he pulls it out again as the ranger passes him. But the Rathgar is also agile and with the quickness of a cat, he slashes at Bjorn in passing and rips open Bjorn's side. On the shore, they circle around eachother, waiting for an opening.
Ulberth waits on his sled for Wulf to make the first move. The seasoned warrior knows to wait for the perfect opportunity for the kill. Wulf ties the aleskin to the sled and gets off, dagger drawn. Slowly, he closes in on the Rathgar chieftain.

Re: The Race
Wulf approaches his foe carefully, then, as though testing his foe's defense, he launches a careful attack.

Re: The Race
Bjorn circles the warrior "I'm fighting for my life, I will NOT back down"
With that he slashes at the warrior again.

Re: The Race
Bjorn holds his dagger fast and makes a furious attack, but the other warrior jumps out of the way. The Rathgar ranger attacks Bjorn, but he also misses.
Wulf warily moves up to Ulberth, who takes a few steps to meet him. Wulf aims for the throat, but Ulberth moves just before the strike connects, and so Wulf only hits the shoulder. Ulberth cries out furiously and lashes out, but Wulf deftly parries the older man's attempt at his life.

Re: The Race
Wulf grins and stabs at his foe again, this time not worrying quite as much about his defence.

Re: The Race
Again, Wulf slashes at the large strong man with his dagger. He is quicker than his foe and the blade connects. The Chieftain grits his teeth and uses his left hand to shove Wulf with enough force to make him fall to the ground. Then he tries to plunge his dagger into Wulf's heart, but the ranger rolls on the ground and the blade only hits his thigh, causing a lot of pain. Grinning, Ulberth runs of in direction of Wulf's sled, leaving Wulf lying in the snow, bleeding.
Bjorn...

Re: The Race
Bjorn moves the dagger in his fingers, a forward grip, a reverse grip, constantly eying his opponent, searching for the opportune moment to strike.

Re: The Race
Shifting his weight from one foot to the other and moving his dagger in his fingers, Bjorn suddenly finds an opening, one step to the wrong side that his opponent did, and lunges forward, plunging his dagger into the man's breast. The Rathgar falls with a gurgling sound and lies still on the white snow.
