Cool, I'll snag what we need tonight then. Does that sound cool with you lot?
A runner team dedicated to police/para-military re-enforcement of Japanese controlled territories?
It'd be bloody but damned good me thinks

Yes, as I said, that campaign will work well with my original character idea.

Then we'll go with it then! I'll put together a basic blurb to help advertise for more players then ask a GM to put us up a proper game thread. Feel free to discuss character thoughts and ideas on how you would work with others in the group, etc.

Re: Shadowrun 4E: House of the Rising Son
Was thinking about how Renraku would handle contacting you as a whole and initially thought that it would be best if they used third party handlers. Someone that they trust to contact you and in turn you trust enough to know that the mission's good to take.
Enter the brother/brother combo of Fatboy and Slim. A dwarf/elf mechanic/fixer team with ties to Renraku. Your Mr. Satou (or Mr. Johnson) has yet to make himself known so consider these two to be your basic contacts at the start of our adventure. I'll add more about the pair as needed.

Re: Shadowrun 4E: House of the Rising Son
I'm thinking my character would be a street samurai or gun adept. If someone else really wants to take on the role of the chief fighter, I can be a combat mage (Shinto tradition) or security-oriented hacker though.

I don't like doing mages. Not entirely sure that I want to jump into the matrix. Everything else, I can do as long as I can come up with an idea for it.
Needs to brood more on some sort of concept.

I plan on playing. I need to get some free time and sit down and look at this.

Re: Shadowrun 4E: House of the Rising Son
Ugh so much going on this week with work and leg doctor's appointments! Trying to work out a feasible treatment schedule and see what I can do about taking time off, etc. This being said, I will do my best to cram in what I can about our games as able.
So glad to hear TetNak is planning on playing and even more so about Trogdor's hopeful "maybe" !!!
This would put us at:
Zorbeltuss - Definite
Muskrat - Definite
TetNak - Definite
brunotr - Says Definite, no further word, treating as maybe
Trogdor - Possible Maybe
Does everyone have access to a copy of the 4th Edition 20th Anniversary Core Rules and Runner's Companion? If not, I can provide links to 4shared links so you can snag them. Just be sure to let me know if and when you get them so we can start working on characters together. The new 400 BP system can be cumbersome to learn and the Runner's Companion has an alternate means of Character Creation more akin to the traditional Priority Allocation system of previous Shadowrun Editions.
