Saga Edition Gunner/Vehicle Weapon Feats

Vehicular Combat
Saga Edition Core Rulebook (Page 89)
Prerequisite: Trained in the Pilot skill
Benefit: Once per round (as a reaction) when you are piloting a vehicle or starship, you may negate a weapon hit by making a successful Pilot check. The DC of the skill check is equal to the result of the attack roll you wish to negate. In addition, while you are piloting a vehicle, you are considered proficient with pilot-operated vehicle weapons.

Weapon Proficiency (Heavy)
Saga Edition Core Rulebook (Page 89)
Benefit: Heavy Weapons (includes vehicular and starship weapons). Do not have the -5 penalty to attack rolls.

Spacehound (Scoundrel Talent/Spacer Tree)
You take no penalty on attack rolls in low-gravity or zero-gravity environments. In addition, you are considered proficient with any starship weapon.

Gunnery Specialist
Clone Wars Campaign Guide (Page 31)
Prerequisite: BAB +1
Benefit: While you are the gunner of a vehicle, you are considered proficient with vehicle weapons. Additionally, once per encounter, you can reroll an attack roll made with a vehicle weapon, though you must keep the second result, eve if its worse. You can declare this reroll after you learn the result of the attack roll, but before damage is resolved.
Special: Taking this feat satisfies the prerequisites for the Starship Tactics feat; however, unless you are trained in the Pilot skill and ahve the Vehicular Combat feat, you may only take [gunner] maneuvers when you select starship maneuvers for Starship Tactics.

You can of course take most of the Weapon Related Feats and Talents for Heavy Weapons. And of course, Feats like Precise Shot Point Blank Shot, Far shot and so on also work for vehicle weapons.

Well, I could take Heavy Weapons Proficiency, but would have to drop Precise Shot for it.

That would be fine. It would make you a suitable gunner. However, I would make sure the ship you take needs that. The ship may require the pilot or co-pilot to control the weapons from the cockpit.
