Hail and well met

Post by Shadowwk » Thu Jul 12, 2012 12:05 pm

A haiku you say
I enjoy tabletop games
And some Mountain Dew

Anywho, in my infinite wisdom (or raging stupidity, you decide) I totally glossed over this section on the forums. I was refered here by friend about 2 months ago and so far I have been enjoying every minute. I'm a long time gamer, both of the video and tabletop variety. Also I play with swords, real swords with sharp pointies. Suprisingly, I still have both eyes.

I look forward to meeting as many of you at Brencon this year as I can. It will be nice to put a face to a name.

says 4:05 to me. Probably your time zone is all messed up:

On the left, bar, under your avatar, click "My Account"
This will cause a new section to open up on the left bar, labeled "My Account tools" (Yeah, I know, not a great UI design) Click on "My Preferences" under that. There's a line for time zone there.

Posts shows 4:05 for me, go into your account settings and set your timezone (GMT -4). Welcome officially even though you have been on a while.

My little thing on the corner of the site says "All times are GMT- 4 hours"

You aren't taking into effect Day Light Savings Time, so its -4 right now.

No, V you aren't taking into account that the forum takes DST into account. the correct setting is GMT-5 with the DST setting set to US, Canada, mexico, etc.

I don't have that corner... or I am too blind to see that. Where would it be?
