TOR Player Seeks PbP Game

Mae govannen! I'm a friend and player in Wbweather's Fantasy Ground/TS TOR game. I'm more of a Tolkienite than RPer by history and nature, though I'm no loremaster of Tolkien's Legendarium. Still, it is the only 2ndary world for me and RPing in it is an honor and privilege. At this point I'm reading through the TOR posts on Ruins of the North and the like and seeing if I'd be a good fit. Feel free to post or PM here. Off to run Xmas Eve errands! Namarie!

Thanks for the welcome! As you can see I'm (exclusively) interested in The One Ring. In the current game LM'd by wbweather--which I been a part of since Sept of 2014--I play a rather upbeat Mirkwood elf scholar (emissary of the king background) who prefers the bow to melee (imagine that!). Since I play a good deal of Euro-styled board games, I like RPGs that balance the "role" with the "roll" The current TOR game I'm in is a bit more on the rolling dice/mechanics side of things, which is fine. Here, the emphasis seems to be more on the role/creative side, which is fine as well--balancing the two is the ideal for me. I think TOR allows for one to RP the mechanics as well as allow the mechanics to shape the direction of the RP, which is cool IMHO. Just my two cents. What do the other TOR folks think?

I do like a mix of Role/Roll play. I think that's what we have here.

Ruins of the North is a good game, and I'm sure V has an opening for you. He actually runs all three of our TOR games.

Thank you both kindly for the invite. I have contacted "V" but I think he is AFK due to pending holidays. No rush, plowing through 84 pages of the Prelude: The Hidden Valley when I have a free moment.

Thanks again, if I may, what kind of character would be good for this group, i.e. race, calling, traits, etc? That would help get the creative juices flowing.
