Must I use haiku? They so often fall like rain, grey and unwanted.

Coming up on 40 years since my first polyhedral dice and my first puzzled immersion into a Greyhawk campaign run by wargamers. Which means coming up a month or two later on 40 years since I first wondered if this stuff couldn't be more about stories and people than about numbers and tactics. 40 years of trying everything, sometimes all at once.
Currently, while Fate is my go-to system for most things, The One Ring is what I'm running whenever it's my turn to be GM. We dabbled with it a couple of years ago, then set it aside to wrap up some Pathfinder stuff that had long outlived its welcome, because as sick as I was of Pathfinder, I wanted to give my players a satisfactory end to the story. But this weekend, back to the world that started it all for me, Middle-earth.
Hoping also to dip my toes into some play-by-post TOR run here that I heard about on the Discord chat server I set up for The One Ring players and loremasters.
