Optimism

Post by Deadman » Tue Mar 11, 2008 6:54 am

This game is meant to be a bit of a pick-me up. One person posts a genuine problem, and the next answers it with a realistic solution, and a new problem. For example:

Poster 1:
Evil

Poster 2:
Solution: Though injustice and cruelty still exists in the world, human society seems to be far ahead ethically of where it used to be. It is reasonable to hope that this progress will continue over time.

These problems can be very big world issues, philosophical quandaries, personal issues, minor annoyances, anything that you want someone to shed a ray of hope on. I'll start us off with...

Animal extinctions

Solution: Since animal extinction is going alot slower then planned, a good idea to speed them up is to have a specialty fast-food establishment that sells nothing but meals made from exotic animals close to extinction.

You can have a polar-bear burger with your slushee, or panda tenders served with a side of bamboo shoots. To help use the animal products better, the employee uniforms could be made out of the skins of the endangered animals. It could be a monthly theme, to help cycle through as many animals as possible.

Problem: The cost of alcohol at restuarants/bars

Of course, the government should invent new taxes on alcoholic drinks as to make them more expensive (drunk driving tax, exhibitionism tax, slurred speech tax, vomit tax etc.) This would keep teens from drinking too much.

Problem: Superstition.

Solution: Due to the increased number of law abiding citizens in this country, the Government has had to step in and take extreme measures. The Government has had to make up new infractions to harass these citizens while fining them to increase revenue. Now if a citizen is driving slower then 10 miles over the posted speed limit, they can be fined for holding up the progress of other driver's speeding. Also, not sharing your love of music by refusing to blast your stereo in residental neighborhood can also result in a fine and possible imprisonment.

Problem: Recruitment at Brennor's RPG Corner

Solution: Contact Microsoft and make Brennor's the Starting Page on each PC. And we should include that on any Internet Explorer or Windows automatic updates. Then, we go on to Mozilla, then we buy Google, and then: World Domination!

Problem: Dog shit on the sidewalk.
