Re: Prospect Park
Crumbs glances back at the knight at the mention of the queen. His eyes lightly misting over as he then speaks to Benny. "You could not know good knight. When the huns first came they took many people of the kingdom. Amoungst those taken, the queen resided". Somehow the kings thoughts suddenly disapate and he looks back at the paper in his hand. Moments pass before the vagabond monarch looks back once more, his face now masked by the simplest of smiles, "Let us find shelter for the night. Then in the morning we shall journey northwest"...

Re: Prospect Park
Benny looks back at the king's simple smile with the smallest amount of sympathy possible. "Northwest?" his word is more of a question, till he sees the paper in the man's hand. He then realizes the army and National Guard would have had evacuation points. He's thought about it many times, but never found anything that showed where they would be. Until now, after a short argument he agrees to head northwest with the King.

Re: Prospect Park
The two face a decision, to walk across the large park and hope to find some lodging for the night or to turn to a side house and find some lodging. They both know that the park is near surrounded by housing on all sides.

Re: Prospect Park
Crumb's is no fool and begins moving about the edge of the park. Only exposing himself when terrain forces him to. Soon he comes across a building that looks promising and starts looking for a way in. The brown stone old but still standing shows promise to the vagabond and he drives his padded elbow through the glass of a basement window...

Re: Prospect Park
Benny follows Crumb's figuring the bum knows more about the area then him.
Crumb's does find a brown stone buidling. It shows a large amount of promis. The window is easy to break into as both crawl into the the dark area. Better under ground then above ground in most cases. The basement is covered in dust and durt. An old work bench sits aginst the wall, which was used as a step to enter the house. A set of stairs in the middle leads up to the main floor. Shelfs line the walls and contine minor things that would normally be used to maintane a house. A folding table and 3 folding chairs are scattered about the place.
"cozy" benny says as he picks of one of the chairs. "Good King, this should work for the night" He sits down on the chair, swinging his pack into his lap.

Re: Prospect Park
Crumb's enters the dusty basement escorted by a sneeze from his trusted general Naploean, and looks around. Benny takes a seat and the king places the small terrier down to explore. Taking note of the stairs he turns and puts a finger to his lips, "SSSSSHH". He listens carefully for a moment then turns to Benny. "I'll be back in a couple of minutes. Let us see what our hosts have to pay their taxes with". Then he creeps as quiet as possible up the wooden stairway...

Re: Prospect Park
The kitchen is trashed, empty cereal boxes, candy wrappers, soda cans, and other junk (empty) are tossed about carelessly.
A noise... a noise? in an empty house, its coming from one floor up, the steps seem... quite.

Re: Prospect Park
The older man's ears perk up as the almost silent shuffle of footsteps ring out above him and he stops. Slowly he lowers the bulging pack from his shoulders to the cluttered floor and withdraws the loaded pistol he had scavanged earlier in the day. Crumb's jacks the slide and moves the safety off, then looking for a way up...

Re: Prospect Park
The loaded weapon slides from the zipper with ease. The house is small, though the stairs are not visable, two choices lay infront of our king. West lays a door way, with no door. The south has a half opened partical wood door blocking his view.
You can see into west room, it looks to be some sort of living room. It my also have a door way leading out, but it is hard to tell from this angle.
The foot steps above you sound almost as if they run in a circle and them stop quickly. They were not too heavy, but heavy enough to not be an animal.
