No rush whatsoever. You tell us when you're ready.

Sounds good, i will as soon as i am ready to get started.

When you guys ran your other ME campaigns, how did you create your maps and area layouts? did you do it from scratch or did you use some online tools?

Back in the days of yore, I used Dunjinni and made maps 100% from scratch. As I realized how I disliked this, I started stealing maps online, then placing grids on them as necessary. Then I layer on tokens and that's about it.

I use GIMP, other people us Photoshop.

Do you know if the map making tool in Roll20 has an export feature, i don't mind making things from scratch if i have tools so that i won't have to draw, bucause, well i can't draw, lol.

I don't think so. We use Roll20 in our Live games. Never seen any export. You could just leave the Roll20 game up, with the map, and have a link to it in game if you wanted to go that way. Takes a bit more effort all around, but could work nicely.

Or, just screen shot the Roll20 map. Then use the image.

Dunjinni is a great tool to make the maps with the grid, then export it, and do the layering with tokens in Photoshop or gimp. Campaign Cartographer 3 apparently is awesome now for that too check out the first map in The Chroma Conflict that was made with CC3.

Stealing maps from online works too, and can be good for generic scenes that you don't need a certain layout for. Roll20 with the Snip tool could be okay too.

I could make a map tool, @Das318, and host it in my domain. Send me the map and tokens and lets see how it goes. You won't even need to screenshot it.
