ASoIaF interest in a fresh game?

Post by MiltonBerle » Wed Jul 06, 2016 10:45 pm

Hi there anyone reading. I spoke with Tetnak really briefly about the possibility of GMing a game here. I know I'm brand new and none of you know me so I wasn't surprised when he said that it was preferred that I play a little while first before being allowed my own game to run. He also stated though that I could see if anyone would even be interested in what I got!

So one of the things I love best about the series is the deep, rich history that had been laid out for people enjoy and immerse themselves in. What I love about this game is the ability to create a house, throw yourself into that history and then muddled it all up to your liking. What I would propose is starting a fresh game and using the core rules to create a house (random location though if arguments were good I could see a predetermined location) during the times just before the battle against the Kingswood Brotherhood, or perhaps a couple years earlier during the Defiance of Duskendale. I feel like both times have the possibility for a lot of intrigue and action, with a strong chance of changing the entire timeline of the books and a wealth of information on major players.

If this seems like it's up anyone's alley let me know! I'd love to discuss it and hope some of you will be interested!

I'd be interested.

Plus you're up to 3 posts. You're practically a veteran.

We have some time since you'll be playing for a bit before running. Some of our ASOIAF regulars are on vacation just now but will be back in a few days.

Wow very cool! 4 to 5 is where I would start an in person game, but I think because of the slower pace more could be possible and fun?. Plenty of time for more to chime in too!
