Pokémon Tabletop Adventures

Welcome to the Albion Region, a recently inhabited continent with Pokémon from all regions inhabiting it!
What's going on? I was suggested running this game and after a read, I decided to go with it! I am still new-ish to being a DM but I like the idea of this game. The region is an original one so that I can have an excuse to have all region Pokémon involved! This game will not be your typical "Gym to gym then Elite 4" excursion! What happens will depend on the party! Want to become the greatest Contest winner? Want to discover a lost Legendary Pokémon? Do you just want the money to own a Pokémon day care? Sure, that can be done!

What kind of setting? The new region was discovered only a few years prior to this game. If you are a resident, that's fine! If not, well, for some reason you are here. Visiting, traveling, moving in, you decide! I do promote assisted world building, so do not be afraid to make up a town!! The Pokémon will all be existing ones (Though an original may pop up), and there will be a list of starters to choose from. Your starter can be one that you've had for a while or you can get your starter when the game starts. Don't worry, there are TONS to start with!
Now, for the first 20 levels, you don't need to worry about Death but onward, expect the stakes to slowly become more intense. Trainer's can choose to actually battle with their Pokémon, if the current battle allows that. Expect that with mostly wild encounters! Weapons are nothing like swords or guns, instead like pvc pipes, unarmed, and slingshots.

Gym Battle Rules
Gym Leader and Challenger will choose 3 random Pokémon on their team. Those 3, in order, will fight one-on-one until one team has been entirely defeated. Items are limited use (4 Items Per Gym Battle). Trainers cannot join in the fray. Legal features only.

Elite Four Rules
Elite 4 and Challenger will arrange their entire 6 Pokémon team in the order of appearance. The two teams will battle one-on-one until an entire team has been defeated. Items are limited use (6 Items Per Elite 4). Trainers cannot join in the fray. Legal features only.

Trainer Battle Rules
Trainers will decide the type of battle (Single, Double or Triple) and how many Pokémon total they will be using. The trainers will throw out their pokemon and they will fight until one team is defeated. Items are not limited use. Trainers can join the fray, if decided prior. Legal and Illegals features are allowed, at least certain Illegals.

Contest Rules
Contest Entries will choose a Pokémon partner. The two have a set amount of time to prepare the pokemon's grooming appeal, wardrobe, and items of use. Rules of the specific competition will be given before this. The first round will involve the trainer and their partner giving appeal to the judges. The second round will involve the trainer and pokemon using Pokémon moves to show off to the judges, depending on the judges preferences. The group with the most points wins the contest.
What can I make? Well, there are technically over 50 classes in this game, but you may only choose from 9 at the beginning:
  • Ace Trainer
  • Breeder [CLAIMED]
  • Capture Specialist
  • Coordinator
  • Martial Artist
  • Mystic
  • Psychic [CLAIMED]
  • Ranger
  • Researcher [CLAIMED]
You need to plan out your stats and class path very carefully! These base classes will unlock more potential for other classes later on, as in this game, you will have up to 3 classes by the end of the journey (Its usually 5 but im changing some bits). Age will not matter, you can choose to make a child or an older man. A man or a woman! Make sure you give me the 6 Pokémon you would love to have by the end of the game, this does NOT count legendries by the way!

The regular starters, all the way to Sun & Moon, are available, as well as the following:Image

All the info you will need is in this Trainer's Guide!! http://www.mediafire.com/file/s2xt3h11a ... ok_2.1.pdf!

I will be accepting a party of 3 players, though one slot is already taken. (May add more if we find that we need them)

@Khaos Diablo - welcome to the Site! Feel free to introduce yourself in the Introductions forum as well. There are also established games that are definitely looking for new players too.
