Let's go to hell together?

If you go evil, then let's open the playable races to the Monster's Manual.

There's also a new background in the campaign book: Former Cultist (which you can turn into just Cultist)

Lol. Sure, sounds fun! Being the bad guys once in a while is exciting.

Man, if we DO go evil...there are some options I've never tried because they aren't super...righteous. >:)

I'm not sure about a starting level. I haven't played above level 4 in 5e yet, so making something pretty high is a liiiittle daunting. Willing to give it a go if other folks want to, but 8 is probably my comfort level to start?

We have to work out a strong pc bond so we dont just devolve into murdering each other

That'll be the archduke devil's job to keep you in line

It'll also be to your advantage to not die by the archduke devil's hands as well, because that hell would be much worse than dying by a fellow PC's hand.

Higher level 5e characters aren't too complicated. If you have access to it, I advise using dndbeyond.com char sheet. The basic rules are free there (you can also create a basic human and then add in whatever non-basic race traits). You could also just make a 'homebrew' race template and use that on dndbeyond as well. After you're done and it's done the math, you can move to the google spreadsheet and double check the numbers.

I think we'll start off at least at level 8. So for most classes, that means you'll pick your archtype (specialization). There's not much else than that and normal hp, spells, skills, etc.

Just a bump in case any players missed this thread. We hope to get started in January, after the holidays. Char gen and concept discussions are happening in the discord chat room and the OOC forums linked above.

Hey Rory, let me know if you have any questions. The rest of us have chatted quite a bit in the discord channel. I think the OOC forum should have all of the details for char gen.
