Character XP and Advanacement - Chapter 2

So instead of waiting until the end of chapters, I'll be handing out XP in bursts during the chapter at the 'end of a session'. I generally do it this way for L5R as well, and it works out much better.

So far for Chapter 2

General Starting Session/Travel/Meet the New Guy +50
Arrival at Port Suffering/RP with The Seer +50
Combat with Ashleen at Port Sufferng +50
RP Travel and Arrival at Stern Hope/General Investigation +50
Combat With Hexalid +50

=250 XP

You can feel free to start spending this. I will update your sheets.

Remember you have a sheet on your character called Experience Spent as well as a place on the front page to modify this. Some of you have ALOT of unspent XP I'm noticing, now is a good time to raise that Willpower

Jericus is updated. I spent 200 of it. Nothing I can do with the last 50, so it'll have to wait.

Now Jericus can actually use the shotgun he has! I figure that fight was the crucible that made sure he'd never forget what to do.

I'm going to post to all IC games first, and finish the other level up that I owe you (Tin Man). Then I'll do Xanthia.

I jsut want to remind some people that you have not spent XP. It does you little good stock piling it up.

Some folks have spent it all, and that's great, others have ALOT unspent.

Willpower? Toughness? These are easy things to buy to help save you from the Warp!

Now is as good a time as any to spend XP before another fight.

I did up my Willpower and have 150 xp left. Could have spent it on some cool talent/skill, but I'm saving it for some cool tricks!

I have just made sweeping changes to the 40K Sheet in the way we handle XP. It was starting to get confusing for both me an you.

Now if you go to your sheet's front page you'll see Total XP Awarded, this is for the entire course of the game. So you should see 1400 or 1250 depending on when you joined the game. I'll fill in this box.

Then you'll see Total XP spent, this auto calc'ed from the Experience Spent sheet where you track what you buy and for how much.

Then you'll see XP Unspent, this is also auto calc so you know how much you have left over right now it spend.

The last box I put the date in for the last XP change, you can update this when you spend XP or when you are awarded it, basically just a hold over from old emailing sheets, but its nice to know when the last time was you got something or changed something XP wise.

I continue to have my overall character XP sheet (for all my games on the site) so if something gets confused I always have a backup of how much total you have gotten over the course of the entire game.

Some of you have some XP left over to spend that maybe you weren't aware of. Maybe were and are just saving it for something new at higher levels. This will also help us track your Rank!

You'll now see when you advanace it will tell you in the XP area what rank you are based on spent XP. This should also help is track your rank raises!
