Character XP and Advancement - Chapter 3

Post by Vardaen » Mon Jul 11, 2011 8:06 pm

I'll be leaving for a week on Thursday and so I wanted to get this rolling for you guys so you can deal with this while I'm away and you'll have something fun to do.

So the lat time you got XP was October of 2010!

This XP award is for all of Chapter 3

First things first Combat
Gretchen +100
Orc Boss +100
Musketmen in the Swamp +100
Musketmen on the Wall +50
Xeno in the Warehouse +100
Xeno in the Skymill +250

Then RP/Skill Uses/Random Stuff
Escape from the Brazen Sky +50
Entering the City/Dealing with Plumes +50
The Prince +100

Chapter Final End (Coming but take the XP now) +100

= 1000 XP!

After this chapter ends there will a stretch of down time, where you can train and spend XP and do other level up items so you'll be able to jutstify some buys that you might not have thought you'd get during this adventure.

That should put you all at Rank 4!!! Going into the next chapter.

And let's not forget to check the Errata.

ver 3 has been out a long while, a few biggies...

Quick Draw on page 121 should have the fi nal sentence
expanded to: “You can Ready as a Free Action when you
are armed with a Pistol or Basic class ranged weapon, or a
melee weapon that can be wielded in one hand.”

The description of the Accurate quality on page 128
should include the addition “When fi ring a single shot from
a single Basic Weapon with the Accurate quality benefi ting
from the Aim action, the attack gains an extra d10 of
damage for every two degrees of success to a maximum of
two extra d10.”

I have to make some big choices! I'll be spending Xp for Solaria, Lady-Captain Sabbatine and redoing my atributes for a pilot in Tet's RT game. Lot's of 40k stuff....

And wait til tomorrow! I'll be posting what's in the Deathwatch Stasis Field!

This was a fairly straightforward level for Jericus, but that's because I did the numbers ages ago. I had a five-way choice for career sub-path, what with the alternate options given. I chose the Bonded Emissary. Jericus got some people skills, Quick Draw, Sound Constitution (yay!) Dodge (double yay!), Total Recall ("It's not a tumor!), and some Forbidden Lore skills.

I'll be spending it on some weapon skills maybe, some Characteristic raises and maybe more Drive (Ground Vehicles). I so want to take a Crawler out for a ride!

I may spend some on Common Lore stuff, not sure til I look at home tomorrow.

I looked at upping BS, but that would cost 500 at this point!

I came just shy of being able to afford +5 to Fellowship. That's only 100 for me - the last of the 100 cost upgrades.

I can say to you JP you can hold off on the Drive Ground stuff, I don't think you'll need that for a while. I KNOW you won't need that in the next chapter at all.

and I have to say, watch out for Damien the Biomancer. His two new powers are freaking awesome - 1d10+5 energy to bad guy 1d10+5 heal to good guy(s) with no daily limit! Well that is a huge deal!
