Pilgramage

Post by Vardaen » Wed Sep 18, 2013 8:50 pm

Here's a small link on the subject of Saint Sabbat, whom the Sabbat campaign and the liberation of the Sabbat worlds is named after:

The planet that she is said to be re-incarnated on is Herodor:

I believe that MV/Rego was looking to go their due to the Holy signifigance of a living Saint walking amongst humanity and the holy waters there would perhaps be a perfect place to sacntify his already annointed sword.

MV- This is your trip, sound good?

Well this changes things, leaving the Calixis Sectory, and the Segmentum, talking about YEARS away. Not going to happen.

We have to redo this.

There are a dozen shrine worlds far closer and better than this. While I get this is cool it so makes no logistial sense.

This makes more sense to me

Part of the confusion and lack on my end was the Baby, this chapter I just started up before I left so you could RP without actually talking to MV about his goal. I really don't see why you would leave the Segmentum on a several year pilgrimage, your Inquisitor would not likely let you go on that long of a trip anyhow.

Sorry if anyone had their heart set on this insanely far off trip, we can quickly sort this out OOC and go from there. Likely need some edits in the last few posts of people.

Yea, I figured that this was a short side trip to a nearby planet.

Just interjecting, the trip is still years away even by warp travel?

I would have to think so. They aren't on a Rogue Trader ship, they are just citizens booking passage on regular ships with maybe some minor warp travel crossing half the known universe from one Segmentum to another, and then back again. It can take months between planets in the same Sector, if you ask me.

Certainly without a Warp drive, yes.

Remember, everything in WH40K is BIGGER and BADDER than you think. The Imperium is across the WHOLE DAMN GALAXY. So moving from one segmentum of it to another is a BIG THING, even given that you can travel in the Warp.

I am far from the 40k guru. So that said I will defer to others for their input...

Totally right. Though the Warp does strange things to you - sometimes ships even arrive before they started. We might as well do a pilgrimage to Maccabeus and the ship gets thrown off course and we turn out on the other side of the galaxy, near Herodor. Making our way back might be difficult then...

I am totally fine with going to Maccabaeus - we'll just make do with good ol St. Drusus instead of pretty Saint Sabbat.

Alright, good. This game is in the Calxis Sector, let's stay there.

So check your most recent posts MV and JP and make some corrections and then we can move on.
