Holy summary batman!
Mir justs stares coldly at the commandant while the summary is given. The look broken only at the mention of Iorgo and his demise. The former guardsman blaming the clerics death squarely on the leaders shoulders...

Sitting in his chair, with his feet up, and half smoekd cigar in his mouth, the Cammandant listens to the report, he is interested in the combat portions, and some of the more technically portions of the layout and situation. Taking the dog tags of Hastus he drops them into a drawer on is left, they jiggle as they land on an alright sizeable pile of other dog tags. He does his best to not comment on the various heretical parts of the report, not doubting the verasity of the Jericu's assessment of the Anthesis Stone or the Plaugebearer. When the mention of Iorgo's mutation and his subsequent selfless death he nods, "A duty well performed, the Cleric knew his place." He seems pleased to hear Iorgo didn't leave the mines and died on his own terms. "So this Rat is dead? I'll get a report from my guards at the plug about it." He leans forward, his heavy boots stopming on the ground unders his desk. "Excellent report Adept Jericus, your superiors in the Inquisition will no doubt want to hear it again. He sucks on the stogy a moment more, "If there is nothing else. Dismissed."
Agreed, rock on Jericus.

Xanthia has nothing else to add, so she waits for a few moments, seeing if anyone else says anything. If they do not, she gives a slight nod of her head and then departs the Commandant's tent.

Once outside, she steps away from the doorway and then looking up, impatient for their transportation to get here and get off this dirtball.

"Thank you sir," Jericus replies. He offers no other comment, having had his say. Right now he is more eager to get outside and pull out his dataslate and auto-quill to get the report recorded while events are still fresh in his memory. Their superiors will want a report as well. And they won't be as accepting as the commandant of the skimpy verbal report he gave.

Ishmael says, "We need transport off this planet." He sighs, "We must make our report to the Inquisitor." With that, the Hive Worlder is ready to depart and make peace with the death he has seen here today.

The Commandant has already called for your Lighter and the transport will be here soon, one by one the group filters out side. Cimbria doesn't add anything either, she slinks outside next to Ishmael and gazes up into the sky looking to see if the ship is coming. High in the sky the bright light of the Lighters engines can be seen as its making it decent from on high...
Just waiting on MV's post now.

Mir is happy to be dismissed. Hopping up from his chair and quickly leaving the commandants sight. Disgusted to even be in the same room as the man. He say's nothing as he retrieves the fallen priest's body and stands. Waiting to be taken off this accursed rock...

The End: Shattered Hopes

Post by Vardaen » Fri May 09, 2008 5:21 pm

The last of the Acolytes to be leaves the Commandant to his own devices and collects the Cleric's gene-home. The group stands looking into the sky as the Lighter makes it decent. Lower and lower it comes, until it lands just off to the south side of the camp. Hurrying to it, you load up, cramped like before, and with the corpse of the mutant Iorgo in tow. Later Mir will be reprimanded for bringing the dead mutant onboard a sacred ship, and will recieve a punishment for it. His swift action however in killing Iorgo will help to balance out his sin and he is praised for having the loyalty to kill his companion when it was clear he was tainted. The whole ordeal will only make him stronger in the end. Iorgo's corpse is spaced, and the one time glorious cleric will lauded as a traitor and an agent of chaos. "His weakness proves his guilt", would be all the proof the Inquisition would need to name Iorgo traitor to the God Emperor.

The collection of men will find themselves taken to the main planetary system in the Calixis System, Scintilla where their orientation and indocrination into the Acolytes as full and functioning members of the Inquisition will take place.

So ends Shatter Hopes.
Well done all. I think we were able to see how some of the basic systems work, to work out some kinks, and we can now get to work making up your characters for the begining of the campaign. Please watch the OOC for more information and soon the next chapter will begin.
