Capitulus Primoris: Edge of Darkness

Xanthia grins at Jericus' latest question. Her approach would likely result in violence regardless of whether it was allowed or not, but always best to be allowed to do so right from the start.

Frastus looks over at the Investigator, his green eyes hard.

What does it matter if we are given permission, he thinks to himself. Every path leads to one thing: death. Whether it be tomorrow, or years away, that is all anyone can look forward to.

Frastus sighs and shakes his head, looking away from the others. He leans against one of the walls, waiting for the others to decide when to leave, eager to finish their mission for the Inquisition.

Solaria's face splits into a warm smile, her cheeks coloring a bit. Her eyes take on a mischevious glint as she locks eyes with the leather clad woman for a moment, then makes herself turn away. Surely the God-Emperor has favored her with Xanthia's beauty, a grace she cannot take for granted.
