Re: Illumination - The Brazen Sky
Jericus shakes his head at the odd man they will share their living space with for the next few days, but leaves him for Solaria and Xanthia to deal with. Instead he hops onto his bunk and starts reviewing not Imperial regulations, but rather anything he can that will tell him more about their destination.

Re: Illumination - The Brazen Sky
Damine leans against his bunk for a minute, breathing heavily as his mind is only tangentially assaulted by the immensity of the Warp. An unshielded mind would be instantly obliterated regardless of experience, excepting perhaps the God-Emperor himself. No matter how many times he has done this before, he never gets used to it. Perhaps the Astropaths are simply numb to it, having traveled hundreds if not thousands of times. But he greatly prefers the solidity of reality, not the miasma of Chaos.
After a while he appears to calm down, and sits on his bunk. He closes his eyes and places the palms of his hands together in a meditative pose. He silently repeats the catechisms he has learned in his training, reinforcing his mental shields.

As the Voidship prepares to ply through the medium of pure nightmare itself, Rego quickly makes the sign of the Aguila before his companions, then leaves them for the time being to explore. The ancient beast is strangely familiar, its cramped halls reminiscent of the hive in a few strange ways. In the twisting passages of the ship, the Cleric goes to speak with some of the crew about their life on the ship and their journeys through the Warp.

Re: Illumination - The Brazen Sky
Damien drops to his bunk, his mental facilities taxed as the ship slips into the warp, but he is well trained and the discomfort fades. The man does not fall to some warp spawn or go rogue on such a 'simple,' yet always dangerous, slidding into the Warp.
Rego hopes to explore the ship and speak to its crew but as Solaria was told nearly every aspect of the ship turns out to be off limited, locked out with various locks of all kinds. The crew is busily working at this critical juncture in the trip and the Cleric is only able to find a few men working the Mess Hall right now to speak to. They are rather gruff, unhelpful, and when asked too many questions they obviously feign work and leave the Cleric to fend for himself in the eating hall. It seems you will spend the next three days nearly alone on this massive bulk of a ship.

Then the 'merchant' turns his attentions on Solaria and the other woman calls out for her sister to come check something out. Xanthia turns from the bunk area she was busy preparing, and moves up to stand next to her battle sister.
"Oh yeah? What does this man have to offer us?" Her violet eyes sparkle as she speaks.

Solaria looks to Xanthia and gives her one wink before the two of them keep Sebek busy and sees what he has to offer.

Re: Illumination - The Brazen Sky
Sebek smiles and tugs on his collar, "Well well, let me show you let me show you." He pulls the big chest out from under his bunk and proceeds to work some tumbler locks, and then puts a key into the lock hole from a chain around his neck. He touches a button, inputs a third code, and then opens the lid. The box is full of junk. Well its mostly junk, some of it is alright. In general its low grade "grey-market" stuff that is mildly illegal in the markets in the hive. Sebek pulls out a small silencer and shows Solaria with a smile, "Eh see?" He then drops it back into the box, he rumages around pulling out one piece of useless junk followed by something mildly interesting only to repeat the proceedure several times.
The whole cabin suddenly bucks and groans. All of the glow lamps douse themselves for a few second and then half of them come back on, the other half sputter back to life over the next four minutes. Sebek doesn't seem concerned at all. Something behind the port wall is *thunk-thunking* louder than it did before, but the ships seems to keep on moving through the warp unhindered as best as you can tell. "Soooo, what do you think of Sebek's little treasure chest here, can I interest you in something? Dragonsbreath look alike ammo? Sniper rifle hand grip? Monofliament knife sheath?"

Jericus looks up from his reading when he sees the chest come out, and calls over to Solaria. "Can you see if he has any slug shells that would fit my pistol? I don't expect trouble. But they may be hard to get where we're going."

"Of course, Boss." Solaria looks over the lot again, "Sebek, dear, you would have any stub ammo or hand cannon ammo? The boss harldy had time to shop with his busy schedule Oh, you wouldn't have any White Gyn in there, would you?" Her eyes dart across the goods, picking out what is good and not. "Wow, a Spitfire! Those things are tempramental, but fun. Boss, I bet someone would like this. He has man-stoppers, those would fit your pistol, Boss and will cut through armor when needed..."

Haxtes tries to help in comforting the machine spirit of the vessel when it lurches, and soon, with or without his doing, it quiets down, racing through the warp again. The Tech-priest then walks over to Sedek and eyes the wares, though he does not say anything and his face remains still, void of emotion. Only the sound of his breathing apparatus can be heard.
