Round 3 Solaria 13, Xanthia 13, Haxtes 12, Vymer & Quill 5, Gangers 4

Xanthia drops down on her ass all the way, pinned by the gangers north of her. She pressed her back against the stone of the dais and looks across the room at the other ganger within a handful of meters of her. So she lifts her Spitfire and pulls the trigger. Keeping low and being rushed and tired she misses her shot, the flare fires off into the crypt behind the man and explodes in a tiny blast of fire.

Then the enemy, Vymer is howling, he's been melted and blinded and drops to his ass as well against the stone one hand clawing at his face. He some how has the iron will to draw his own frag grenade and tosses it up and over the dais. It bounces on top of the dais and rolls toward the edge but never falls down behind with Xanthia. Exploding on the dais above Xanthia it sends hunks of stone in every direction but the cover of the stone and her own armor is enough to keep Xanthia safe, if not a bit deaf.

Quill manages now to put the fire out, he pat pat pats the last of the flames and they go out no longer burning or harming him, "Forget this bitch Vymer, she's not worth the Gelt." He points his weapon at Haxtes and Solaria waving it side to side. "Its over, let's call it draw!"

The gangers don't get the message, and one one opens fire on Xanthia nearly point blank but his luck is as good as her's. The bullets spray all around striking the ground the dais and the far wall, but not Xanthia thank the God Emperor. Two of the other gangers break off their attacks and move into better positions taking cover behind the downed stonework pillar.

Bullets continue to fly over Solaria's head keeping her pinned, but making matters worse the hail of bullets is whizzing by Haxtes and the Tech Priest suddenly is in the mix. He needs to take cover from the ganger's suppressive fire and he starts to look to get clear of the killing zone. Vymer happens to also be in that lane of fire and he keeps his blinded managed head down too.
Xanthia: Free - Drop Prone: Shoot #2 (Close +10, Laser Dot +10, Pinned -20, Fatigued -10): 37 vs 32 Miss

Vymer: Blinded. Lob Grenade (Blind -30, Fatigue -20, Close +10): 08 vs 05 Miss: 3 NE, 1 Meter: Frag Grenadge: 7 Wounds - 5Flack AP-4T = 0 Wounds

Ganger #2: Full Auto Xanthia (FA +20, Close +10): 70 Miss!
#3-#4: Move Move (Into Cover)
#5 Suppressing Fire: Pinning Solaria (Hard -20): 86 PINNED, Pinning Vymer (Hard -20, Fatigued -20) : 85 PINNED, Haxtes (Hard -20) 71 vs 19 PINNED: Random Spray (Hard -20): 85 Fail

Pinning: Xanthia: (No Longer Under Fire by Pinning Ganger +30) 51 vs 71 NO LONGER PINNED
Round 4 Solaria 13, Xanthia 13, Haxtes 12, Vymer & Quill 5, Gangers 4

Solaria, Vymer, Haxtes - Pinned

Being Pinned
A Pinned character may only take Half Actions. Additionally, he must take a –20 penalty to Ballistic Skill Tests if he fires, snapping off shots while being mindful of their own safety. If a Pinned character is in cover relative to the attacker that Pinned them, he may not leave it except to retreat (provided that he can remain in cover while doing so). If he is not in cover when Pinned he must use his next Turn to reach cover. If there is no cover nearby, he must move away from the attacker that Pinned him. A character can Test Willpower at the end of his Turn to escape Pinning, in which case he may act as normal in his next Turn. This Test is Easy (+30) if the character is no longer under fire (i.e. no one tried to shoot him since his last Turn). A character engaged in close combat automatically escapes Pinning. There are some special Talents, Skills and Psychic Powers that can also free a character from the effects of Pinning—as well as such things as combat drugs and terrifying commissars.

Vymer - Blind

Xanthia - No Longer Pinned

Quill - No Longer On Fire

Xanthia grunts at her miss. She doesn't like the current situation. "That's it, that's enough of this. You've irritated me now. Time for the real weaponry." She drops the Spitfire at her side, letting it clatter on the rubble next to her. Then she pulls out here newest acquisition, one which she has yet to bring to bear upon any enemies yet, but now the times have changed. These gangers are about to get a real taste of her wrath.

The Bolt Pistol comes out of its holster, and is brought up at the ganger that she just recently missed. With her change in situation and a change in weaponry, it should spell a bad day for the ganger.
Drop spitfire (free). Draw Bolt Pistol (half). Fire at ganger #2 (half).

With bullets flying past him, Haxtes knows he will get killed if he stays out here longer. He retreats, moving back into the passageway where they entered. His back against the eastern wall, he lets go of his hellgun hanging on his shoulder, shoves it so it hangs more on his back and readies his flamer, pushing the button to ignite the pilot light.
move se,s. Ready Flamer (free - quick draw).

Shoot Quill, PBR +30, Pinned -20. Armor Piercing again.
Solaria growls in a blood fuelled rage, she hates being shot at and being pinned sucks even more balls then she cares to admit. She tries to line up another shot on Quill, the guy is a couple of meters away, so it shouldn't be this hard! She keeps the Spectre on the mag with aromor piercing rounds and squeezes off a shot, "Hey, prick-squeezer! You started this, we're ending it! There's no draws in a firefight!!!

Round 4 Solaria 13, Xanthia 13, Haxtes 12, Vymer & Quill 5, Gangers 4 [/b]

Round 5 4 Solaria 13, Xanthia 13, Haxtes 12, Vymer & Quill 5, Gangers 4

Something we discovered playing in the LotR/WHFRPG game about Ready Action!

Ready (Half Action)
You can draw a weapon or retrieve an object stowed in a pouch or pocket. You can also put an item away that you are currently holding. So, you could holster a pistol and unsheathe a knife as one Half Action. You can also use this Action to do such things as apply a medi-patch, inject stimm or some other kind of drug, or coat a weapon with the contents of a vial of poison, for example. You may use the Ready Action twice in one Turn if you are preparing two different items.
Soliara is not having a fun time right now, she growls to prove it and blindly sticks her gun up over the cover and snaps a shot off at Quill. The Machine Spirit blesses her with a hit. Quill takes a punching shot right in the chest. The Man stoppers penetrate his armor and cause him to burst a blood gout out of his arm. He's one tough SoB however as he shrugs off most of it and looks about for some cover. Solaria is forced to keep her head down still as the fire blasting over her keeps her pinned down.

Xanthia, out of pinning, switches her weapons, the Spitfire is empty so she hoslters it and draws a real honest to goodness Bolt Pistol. Holding tight she points it at the ganger nearly in point blank range, the red laser dot on it targets his heart and she pulls the trigger with a satisfying *KBLAMO*. The man's chest is blow to piece, a huge hole blown right threw it. What remains of the ganger is thrown back a few meters and skids to a bloody halt in the crypt. She can't help but smile at the smoking gun, and almost kisses it.

Haxtes can't stay where he is so he moves into the tunnel pipe leaving the chamber. He presses his back against the rusted wall and switches out his hellgun for a flamer, hitting the prime button the pilot light ignites and the Tech Priest no longer worries about some suppressing fire.

Vymer is pinned and blinded, his face melting off almost, he fumbles about among his gear and draws a stimm injecting himself with it. The rush of chem drugs pushes out the pain and the fatigue and his head clears.

Quill then takes off east, he leaps over the downed pillar and hunkers down behind it all the way, his back pressed up against it. He keeps himself small so you can't see him over the stonework.

Then the blind cloud finally fades, it vanishes into nothing exposing the full field of the battle just in time to watch the two gangers open upon Xanthia. Their autoguns unload a furious volley of bullets into the woman's right and exposed leg. She takes several hits into her thigh and shin, her armor only able to so so much, and a light glancing body shot. The withering fire is wearing her down, she's bleeding now, her body knocked about from the hail of bullets but she remains alive some how. The other ganger keeps the fire pressure up on Solaira until you finally hear his clip offer up the coughing sound of being empty!
Solaria: Point Blank +30, Pinned -20, Man Stoppers vs Quill: 15 vs 55 Hit Body for 8 - 2AP(5AP-3Pen)-4T = 2 Wounds [Escape Pinning (Hard -20): 30 vs 15 Fail!] Still Pinned

Xanthia: Ready Bolt Pistol! Shoot #2: (Red Dot +10, Close +10, Fatigued -10) 46 vs 52 Hit Body for 16! - 0AP (2AP-4Pen) - 3 T = 13 Wounds, DEAD

Haxtes: Pinned, Move, Ready Flamer [Escape Pinning (Hard -20) 16 vs 19 Success] No Longer Pinned

Vymer: Pinned, Blind, Ready Stimm to self (Ignore Fatigue)

Quill: Move, Move to Cover (Full Cover, All Locations)

Blind Grenade Fades

Ganger #3: Full Auto Xanthia (FA +20, Close +10) 47 vs 58 2 Hits Right Leg [Dodge: Fatigue -10, 27 vs 42 Success], Right Leg 9 - 3AP-4T= 2 Wounds

Ganger #4: Full Auto Xanthia (FA +20, Close +10) 37 vs 58 3 Hits Right Leg 4 - 3AP-4T= 0 Wounds, Right Leg 11 -3AP-4T=4 Wounds, Body 4 -3AP-4T=0 Wounds

Ganger #5: Keep Up Supressing Fire: Vymer Pinned, Solaria Pinned (Clip Empty)
Xanthia 2/12 = Fate Point to Heal?, Fatigued
Solaria 7/16 Pinned
Haxtes 10/11

I would spend fate to heal, but my sheet shows 0 remaining. :(
Xanthia growls as she is hit multiple times by the gangers unloading upon her. Several shots make it through her armor and actually draw blood from her. "You are going to pay for that."

She brings up the Bolt Pistol that has just taken its first life in her hands and is ready to take more with it. She flips the fire mode selector and fires off a shot at the first ganger, following it up rather closely with another.
Semi-Auto Burst. Starting with ganger 3, following to 4 if 3 dies and enough successes.

Also, one thing I've been forgetting is Sure Shot talent. Xanthia can swap the dice if it results in a better hit location. Might come in handy with the stone pillars.

Pinned -20, Half Action- Toss Frag Grenade 9m EAST, into room with Quill! IF it misses and puts Solaria in the blast area/get's her really hurt... (She can take a wound or 3 more and be fine. Plus, Toughness/AR and the Pews would soak 10 wounds by themselves before it even got to her...), spend Fate to re-roll. (Last Fate I think, too...)
Solaria smiles at the sound of the ganger's gun going dry, "I'll deal with you in a second, asshole...", she says to herself. For now, she pulls off a frag grenade and tosses it into the room the Quill is taking cover in, hoping the pillar he's behind and the pews in front of her take the brunt of the explosion. "Here ya go, sweetheart!", she yells as it flies through the air.

Round 5 Solaria 13, Xanthia 13, Haxtes 12, Vymer & Quill 5, Gangers 4

Your Fate should have refreshed once landing. I've fixed everyone's sheet. Also I've been watching for Sure Shot for you.
Solaria smiles as the gun goes dry north of her. She pulls a grenade and lobs it into the crypt where Quill it, it bounces off the wall just into the corner and then sputters and pops like some child's play toy. The thing was a dud, the blast is nothing a pop gun, and Quill is unharmed by the tiny blast.

Xanthia then turns her bolt pistol to the two men north of her. Her leg stops bleeding but she is a long way from being only lightly wounded. She fires high, over compensating for the the cover the gangers have and her blast strikes the wall behind them.

Haxtes...
Solaria: Pinned -20, Standard Range +0: 81 Miss, Direction 6: South, 1 Meter; Damage 2 (Yes I rolled snake eyes!) 2 - 5AP = 0 Wounds [Pinned: Hard -20, 67 Still Pinned]
Xanthia: Heal: 1! (Ouch), Semi-Auto vs #3: (Semi +10, Short +10, Red Dot +10, Fatigue -10) 94 Miss!

Haxtes steps out from his cover, flamer in hand. "Mechanicus Deum!" he calls out as he spews fire at Quill and one of the gangers.
Move n,ne.
Use flamer, both Quill and ganger #5 are in range (20m). So he should be able to hit both.

Round 5 Solaria 13, Xanthia 13, Haxtes 12, Vymer & Quill 5, Gangers 4

Round 6 Solaria 13, Xanthia 13, Haxtes 12, Vymer & Quill 5, Gangers 4
Haxtes walks out into the open and opens up the value on his flamer. It spits a weak gout of flame out into the crypt area that Quill is hunkered down in. The flames ripple over the barrier between the two and the bounty hunter ducks low letting the fire pass over his head. When the blast of burning promethium clears Quill pokes his head up, his hand cannon in hand pointed back at Haxtes. The man fires as the laser dot steadies on Haxtes' head, the light trembles there, then *BOOM*. The weapon discharges and the shot rakes through Haxtes' helm, ripping away pieces of implants and flesh, taking a hunk of scalp and pieces of flesh that send shooting pains into the receptors of the Tech Priest. He struggles to process the pain.

Vymer, hunkered down, pinned by his own ally, attempts to recover some lost abilties. His is applying patches and bandages blindly to his body but it doesn't seem to help him much. The ganger that had Solaria and Vymer pinned is forced to reload, the man stands right where he is and starts reloading his autogun.

The other two unload full auto on Xanthia -- exposed as she is its not surprising that she takes a near full clip of bullets in the leg. Managing to dodge one of the Ganger's targeting scope she moves right into the other one's. The bullets at first strike her armor but then punch through with a withering assault. Then one walks up her body and shatters her rib as it punches through her armor, she gasp for air, "I'm...." she can't finish that as she topples over taking another bullet on the way down to the head snapping her head back and to the side. She crashes to the ground critically wounded and near death. She's fallen victim to the autoguns, getting caught in the open like that has killed her... or nearly so.

Solaria, still pinned, but no longer under active fire...
Haxtes: Move, N,N,NE: Flamer: Quill: Ag: 97 Fail: 5 Dmg - No Cover - 5AP - 4T = 0 Wounds (Wow, this guy is a lucky SOB) No Dmg, No Set On Fire
Vymer: Pinned, Med Kit: 69 Fail
Quill: Dot +10, Aim +10, Close +10, Shoot Haxtes: 09 Hit Head for [Dodge: 89 Fail] 11 - 0AP(2AP-2Pen) - 3T = 8 Wounds - Fate Point?
#3: Full Auto Xanthia; Close +10, Full Auto +20: 27 vs 58 Hit 4 Hits [Dodge: 02 vs 52: 6 Success] Dodges All Shots
"#4: Full Auto Xanthia: Close +10, Full Auto +20: 11 vs 58 Hit 5 Hits: Right Arm 6 - 3AP-4T= 0 Wounds, Arm 10 -3AP-4 = 3 Wounds, Body 10 - 3AP-4T = 3 Critical Wounds: The attack breaks a rib and inflicts 2 levels of Fatigue. The target is also Stunned for 1 Round. (3 Total Fatigue - OUT), Head 8 - 2AP-3T= 3 Critical (6 Total): The target's head is snapped back by the attack leaving him staggering around trying to control mind-numbing
pain. The target is Stunned for 1d5 Rounds and takes 2 levels of Fatigue., Body 7 - 3AP-4T = 0 Wounds"
#5: Reload Full Round

These are rough rounds for you guys.
Solaria: 7/17 (1 Fate) Pinned (should be easy to break pinning this round)

Xanthia: -1 /12, 5 Fatigue, Stunned 2 Rounds (0 Fate)
Assuming Fate Point to Heal: +5, Otherwise at -6 Wounds

Haxtes: 7/11 (1 Fate Left)
Assuming Fate Point to Heal: +5, Otherwise at 2/11 Wounds

(Well atleast the healing dice liked you)
