Acolytes, We Are Leaving!

"Emperor be praised, his son has come to deliver us!" Nemidia cries with joy as she could already feel the battle turn against the aliens, as she sees the Astartes join the battle.

Yet that triumphal sensation dies away when she realize the fleet is starting to destroy the space hulk.
OOC: Given that it seems the battle is over, there's no point in additional attacks and stuff?

"We need to get to the escape pods!" Sword immediately slings his sword onto his back and looks at the Space Marine in reverance. He almost cannot believe the Sergeant-Brother is alive, almost. The Space Marines were almost like demi-gods with their acts of near invincibility and martial prowess. Stumbling, Sword grumbles, then yells again, "We need to move!"

The Dark Eldar are slipping away, back into the webway abandoning the fight as the Space Hulk is being pounded into space debris. Molochan comes around the corner hustling up to you, "Are the escape pods ready?" He points to the upper deck where they were powering up, and will fall in line behind the rest of you. He is the only one of his company to survive, Forden dead at your hands, Cimbria and Trempan killed by the Dark Eldar Corsairs.

Vogel floats through the bulkhead from where Haxtes and Jericus are, "You must hurry, I will see if I can't speed the powering of the pods along." He then rises into the air, the spirit moving to where the escape pods are on the second level without need of the stairwell.

Haxtes just nods at the arrival of the Space Marine. When he hears the bombardment of the Battlefleet, he checks his chrono and indicates the others to hurry to the escape pods.

Damien looks back at the dead servants of the Inquisition, then tries to heft one of the bodies of the Acolytes. "We have time to take them back! Cimbria and Trempan deserve better than to have their remains be atomized by the Imperial Navy. Get them in the escape pods too, so we can give them a proper burial."
Trying to do right by the other Acolytes. Damien wouldn't want to be left to burn on some Damned craft.

The Space Marine nods to Damien, "Let me grab one." He hurries to Cimbria's corpse and grabs her up in one hand as easily as you might lift a pillow. With her tucked under his arm he makes for the stairs up. You race up through the shaking and rocking of the ship to the escape pods, which aren't fully prepped yet, but you begin loading into them. The Brother Sgt will have to cram himself into one alone, so will Sword, but the rest of you can try and pile into a third and fourth together.

Vogel looks at the pod, "I will handle this fellow Acolytes." The spirit begins to reach out with what power he has left and speeds up the charging of the pod, lights begin to flicker, and the hum of the engines in them awakens as the spirit wakes the Machine Spirit in each of them. The Space Hulk rocks with a powerful impact and a fire breaks out in the lower deck, but as the hull cracks and the void of space starts to spill in the fire is quickly sucked out. Agamorr jams himself into his pod and closes the hatch.

Nemidia helps to Damien bring Trempan's body with them and then gets into one of the pods, supposedly the same as Damien. Unless Damien makes some move that he don't want help, of course.

Damien is more than happy for the help. He's probably got average strength or so, but it's been a long day, and he just got a head wound, and he's dragging an armored corpse through a shaking Space Hulk. Yeah, help is good.

As they get settled and strap in, he looks over at the ghost. "Vogel, it was an honor. You have stood this watch for longer than could have been asked. May the God-Emperor protect you, and may your soul be guided to his side when your work is finished."

Sword's armor is half destroyed anyway, and with that, he crams himself into the nearest pod. "For the Emperor!" he yells out to Vogel. The acolyte has no clue if the pod will even fire, or if he'll be destroyed by space debris, suffocate from a lack of oxygen, or just float aimlessly until he dies of dehydration. He tries to find the controls to launch the pod after closing the hatch. "Let's go, Damien!" he yells.

Haxtes enters the pod with the others and as soon as everyone is in, he looks for the controls to release the pod.
