Brennor's RPG Corner Party! 2007

Well the idea has been kicked around time and again from back when Brennor's RPG Corner was teh ShadowRift MUSH and against when it was Akarian Dawn MUSH.

This is now the offical thread to see what it would take to organize a real life party of all our players!

Some of the topics that need to be ironed out include but are not limited to:

* The Date - When can we do it.
* The Location - Rochester, New York, USA is the starting location since the server is located here.
* Accomodations - Where do we house all your crazy RPGers
* Activities - Possible LAN set up for some video games, pen & paper gaming of some of the online games or other games, etc...
* Food and Drink - What do we have, or what don't we have and who brings what.
* Guest List - Can we get some old ShadowRift folks to join, or old site players?
* How we go about being any geekier! - This one should be hard after the party.

Wait, Rochester? Where are the ladies in Rochester? If I'm planning on flying across the country I'm damn well going to spread some of my love.

• The Date - If it's this year and not near Thanksgiving, I will probably not be able to attend
• The Location - Rochester is good
• Accomodations - I have places to crash in Rochester
• Activities - If there is a brens party and I am there, I will run selfgame for at least part of it.
• Food and drink - Too early to tell
• Guestlist - I prefer just site people, but I'm biased.
• We could all dress in costume and only call each other by our character names... but I don't recommend that.

* Activities - Seeing as I am not much of a tabletop guy, I would play, act all retarded maybe, but probably wouldn't run anything.
* Food and Drink - Like I said. I bring beer.
* Guest List - Like who? Most of these people are gonzo. Site is fine.
* I am NOT dressing up in a costume.

I like the idea, but not sure if I could attend...flying across the entire country would be difficult...But I could swing it early/middle next year, I think.

Accomadations: Heh, I'm with Tet: Anyone gotta a couch?

Everything else is cool. EXCEPT THE COSTUMES!!!! I am geeky enough in RL.

Heh. I like the sounds of this.

We just gotta make sure it doesn't fall apart like the ShadowRift MUSH party did.

• The Date - Not sure on the date yet. A vacation/holiday would be great though. It would let us get together for more than just a Saturday night.
• The Location - If anyone wants to see the Beast in person, it has to be Rochester. Even though the pictures of it are good, they don't do it justice.
• Accomodations - There are a couple of us here in Rochester with places to crash.
• Activities - I dunno. For some reason, I don't think we wanna play "Pin the Tail on the Beast"
• Food and drink - Up for anything.
• Guestlist - I'm up for anyone that has played a game (website or MUSH) on Beast at any point in time.
• As for geekier, dunno yet... though we could have everyone present all connect to the site at the same time.

Webcam, i think, would be a requirement. So those unable to attend in person can atleast watch on and laugh at everyone else.

Someone would have to bring the webcam setup for that though.

i've got a webcam i don't use, and a laptop. all i'd need was bandwidth. so, assuming i can make it, i'd take care of that part.

holidays are best for me. as is the summer. during the school year i've got to tend to the beck and call of a lot of people that outrank me and tell me to do whatever the opposite of what the last guy told me to do. but during the summer, like now, i mostly just sit around and devour books as if they were candy.
