BC2009: Location?

Post by Bitom » Wed Sep 03, 2008 8:06 pm

Again, too early, but Better to have it out here

I think the Default location is Binghamton, NY, since a large portion of the site lives there and it's pretty central to the east coast crew, but if anyone has other ideas, here's the place for them.

yeah, yeah, we know. if it helps, I plan to start the great East Coast Carpool next year, a multi-city tour that could involve several major airports. We discovered this year that Trog and I were taking the same road for most of our trip, and if BW2086 had been able to come, we would have carpooled for half his trip.

That might be cool, so I can fly into the best airport. But, if I book the flight soon enough, BGM might not be that big of a deal.

very true. and there are tons of airports within about an hour drive which also work well.

I'm willing to host people staying at my house again if it's in bingo. By then- new bathroom :)

Binghamton, Syracuse, and NYC airports are all International/ have flights into it.

Scranton is alittle smaller as is Elmira and Newburgh. They might have something, but not sure.

They're not really major international airports (Although technically, anything that has the potential to land a plane which can get to the border is an international airport)

However the great east-coast carpool will potentially include DC airports, and maybe Atlanta as well.

I am potentially interested in attending next year. We should post a map with tentative carpool routes. I live in Central Virginia, so if I come I can pick up anyone between here and there. (If they live in Western PA, it will give me an excuse to visit my parents as well!!)

Also, I like where your mind is about planning for next year!!

There should be a mini-event planned in the spring sometime as well. Or a winter-break idea.

I am just saying, because I feel like I missed out on a great time!!
