I have some old paints, can't promise the conditions they are in, hmmm, who has brushes? I have some, but they might be a tad large, I used them last to paint my kitchen with ;)

I also just bought a dozen fine tipped cheap-o brushes....Since i'm already planning on bringing a bunch of figs I can also wrastle up enough stuff to make this thing work. I.E. Brushes, paint, figs and maybe a snazzy prize for the winner.

Oh Man... I've seen these figures SLAMcevich is talking about....

I think he may have confused CRAPPY MINI painting contest with CRAPPY mini PAINTING contest.

Either way, this is going to prove to be a gorram'd terrific spectacle. The Marines in question have been assembled by a pre-teen, painted with a spackle knife, oversprayed in Hello Kitty Pink, and then stripped in a month long bath of arcane potions (SteveL is only responsible for the arcane potions, not the other senseless acts of violence).

I have some paints of in determinant origin and condition (some harkening back to 1994!). I'll be sure to bring them along as well as one of my many red timers to officiate the time.

This could easily become a tiered event! Additionally, if anyone gets paint in their eyes, it could be a teared event!

Here's a list of metals commonly used in coin casting. It's not every single one down to the last element, but if you're awarding titles... this should probably part of the titles.

* Cobalt
* Copper
* Gold
* Hafnium
* Iron
* Lead
* Magnesium
* Manganese
* Molybdenum
* Nickel

Minotaur
Naga
Owlbear
Pegasus
Quisp (there are no Q monsters... so you get a cereal Mascot)
Rust Monster
Skum
Troglodyte
Unicorn
Vampire
Wraith

My paints will come as well, they are only about 8 years old, they might still have something in them. I'll pack up a hand full of some DragonQuest boardgame minis that Shinlging painted a glossy black and nothing else, atleast I think that's paint on them, it could just be tar from teh driveway sealant.
