I'm back at work on Monday. have a flight out on sunday at 6:30

In case it wasn't obvious, I'd like to claim my usual bed at B's.

was planning on it. need a pick up time to verify. If it is needed we still have an open bed and couch space as well as an air mattress.

I just got a Jury Summons: 20th-24th! Grrr. So I may or may not be available on Friday now, if I'm picked I'm so sending whomever it is to The Chair for interrupting the start of my BrenCon weekend! FRY BABY FRY!

Just tell them you are on vacation. There are rules for that. They'll reschedule.

I've been registered to vote since my 18th birthday and I've never been called for jury duty. No once. (And VA doesn't exempt lawyers!)

Here in Cali, I get called every 13 months to spend half a day in the courthouse. Luckily, they have free wi-fi. The last 2 years, I got called into the lot of 30 and last year, I actually made it into the jury pool (as alt).

Last time, there was a young woman who told the judge and lawyers that she couldn't keep her mouth shut and that she talks to everyone. Since the case involved celebrity, they dismissed her. Just tell the judge that you have a blog, twitter, and facebook accounts and that you've already blogged about the case before you get sworn in to not talk about it

I saw that episode Trogdor, I have already starting putting my Leia costume together

I've been called a few times, and haven't ever even been to jury selection, usually the crook plea bargans the night before so I don't have to show. I think this is my 3rd time getting the mail.

I actually coudl likely get out of it, only wokring member of a faimly of 3.5, pregger wife less than a month to go, etc.

Then again it is a week off work for 40$ a day

I've been called to Jury Duty Twice... The first time I was rejected for knowing the Prosecutor, and for having been patched up by a doctor that was being sued.

The second time I didn't get picked in the poor sucker justice lotto, and 8 other upright citizens took it in the face.
