Idea for Brencon 2012: Book Swap

Last year, I brought a couple of free novels that I picked up at Comic Con to add to the raffle prizes. This year, I have another stack of free novels - some good and some might be questionable. Either way, they were free.

I'm thinking we can do a book swap/exchange. We just need a box on the table, then anyone can add or remove a book as they want. Then next year, bring back the book (or others) and add to the box. Any book not picked up, can just be put back in the box and then added to someone's basement until next year

Here's some books I picked up and will be bringing:
* Article 5 by Kristen Simmons (Young Adult, sci-fi)
* Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi: Outcast by Aaron Allston
* Web of Arachnos (City of Heroes book) by Robert Weinberg
* Sandman Slim (occult/para) by Richard Kadrey
* Genesis of Shannara (fantasy) by Terry Brooks

I also have Star Carrier: Earth Strike book 1 by Ian Douglas, but I think I want to try to read that before adding it to the box

By the time BrenCon rolls around, I should have a few more.

I actually won a few of those books, and just last night I started reading one of them. I figured I'd put it back on the table this year, but if we do a book swap instead then I certainly drop it in the box.

It's up to you guys whether we do a swap/exchange or raffle. Maybe we can put them in a box and then somebody could go through and pick out the better ones for raffle?

I'll be bringing a few more books. I know there's a lot of readers in the group and having a book or two to read on the plane ride or sitting in airport might be nice bonus.
