BrenCon 2013 - Early Planning

Post by Vardaen » Thu Nov 22, 2012 2:55 am

Well, its about that time.

A few people have expressed some interest in trying to set some general time for when BC13 is going to be this year. So far I'm hearing from folks that later in the Summer is better (August).

We should just start narrowing things down so people can start planning other vacation schedules and the like.

General comments, months and times of year is what we should be talking about at this point.

I would prefer some time between mid-August and late September. If it falls somewherw there then I will definitely book again. (My brother though seems very unlikely.) But overall I am just one person so it should be secondaryor even less.

The sooner we have teh dates teh better. I am being switched to a new platoon next year and we'll be picking vacations soon. If I knew when, it would be a huge help.

Pennsic is July 19-Aug 3. I have not decided if I'm going at all this year, but if I do, it will not be for the whole time. At the very least, that first weekend of July 19th to 21 is open for me.

Dragon*Con is Labor Day weekend (July 30 - Sept 2) and I will once again be attending, so that weekend is out for me.

I voted early summer. but really: as long as those ranges are avoided, I'm pretty much good.

That'd be an amazingly long weekend. ;) But I think you meant August 30th.

Anyway, as I said, late August would be the best for me and the whole September is free as well. I would LOVE to come again and have already secured at least half of my funds for an eventual trip. :D

July 4th, August 16th and August 29th are no can do's for me. The weekend of August 23rd-25th would be ideal...

Also I was wondering what people would be interested in, metal project wise; for the Brencon auction this year...

Hmmm, August 23,24,25?

That is late summer, works for a few people, what about you Bit? Or is that too many weekends in a row. Now that you are Roch that's only a few hour drive instead of a few hour plane ride!

That would work very good for me, I think. I'd fly halfway around the planet for Brencon because I'm not right in the head.
