Like me! :D It seems I can actually make it and I did not waste my money on the flight.

Actually I liked the Dulles airport. Still better than most I've been too.

I plan to leave after work on Friday, the 23rd. Syracuse and Elmira are both a little over an hour away, and I live right near the Rochester airport.

So ideal times would be like 5:30 in Rochester or 6:30 for the other two.

I plan to drive back late-ish on Sunday, the 25th.

However, I work from home, so I can flex quite a bit on this if Bren lets me just work at his place on either Friday or Monday.

Can you get on the IRC so we can just figure it out based on whatever booking web site you're using?

Be ware Tet that you are looking at another 1.5 hours from any other airport in the car. In the end, if Bit can't swing by and get you the cost may just be the same if you come into BMG. I know it isn't cheap, its a small airport, but it is close.

Anyone able to pick me up from BGM on the 20th? I -should- fly in at 4:37 PM but I can wait a couple of hours if I have to. Don't want to rent a car if I don't need to.

Well, first off, driving 1.5 hours to an airport should actually not be a big deal. When people fly into Denver instead of Colorado Springs, if I have to go get them, it isn't that big of a deal. Do I love doing it, no, but I do it. That's because I know that flights can be a lot cheaper going into the bigger airport, and Colorado Springs isn't even that small of an airport.

But really, cost isn't the biggest factor. Because BGM only have a few places where I can fly in FROM, the times, etc, to get there are really, really, tough. Tiny layover times might be me stuck somewhere for a day or more if I miss a flight. That would /not/ be cool.

Missing a connection would suck.

You find someone willing to make the 6 hours in the car for you great. I won't be able to do. Sorry. Too much going on.

I likely will be out of work by then, so I can if that happens. I'll know soon enough.

Okay kids.

It is official. I will grant you all my glorious presence at Brencon this year. My first ever!

My flights actually are pretty good.

DEN (9:40) -> MSP (1:00) -> DTW(3:45) -> ELM (4:55)

All times show in EST.

My two layovers are 1:30 hours in MSP, and a little over an hour in DTW. Bitom is going to pick me up in ELM on his way down.

My flight out is on Monday, 8/26, from BGM at 11:46.

I get back to Denver at 4:51 MST.

So, I will need a ride to BGM around 10 AM or so.

I look forward to being socially awkward around all of you soon.
