BC 2013: A Game of Thrones LCG

Post by TetNak » Fri Aug 09, 2013 1:06 am

Hey!

I plan on bringing six or eight decks to facilitate play. Six decks will allow us to cover all the houses, play up to 3 jousts at the same time, or one melee and one joust. Eight decks will allow 2 melee or 1 melee and 2 jousts or 4 jousts.

I'd like to try to get a handle on who will be willing to try this out. We can play melee, which is 3 or 4 players, or joust, which is two.

Melee is anyone vs. anyone.

Joust is one vs. one.

I plan on bringing at least six decks, which will be drawn from each great house. I might bring two more, which will either be neutral (not likely) or draw from two of the houses and we would just have another house deck (which is no problem, the decks won't be the same).

Stark
Lannister
Baratheon
Targaryen
Martell
Greyjoy

So let me know who is playing and what house you'd like to try. I won't include a bunch of complicated decks, as I do not believe anyone has played before. I'll try to keep it relatively simple, but add some fun mechanics.

I'll play probably. Can you post a link to the rulebook PDF? People could read up before hand.

Yup. Let me post that and the tutorial. However, if no one wants to play, I wont bother building decks, etc.

I'd give it a try, Tet.

I'm almost done cataloging all my cards so I can make decks. I will try to convince my wife to play a few games with me so I can see how they play. No promises that they won't suck ;)

I have a Targaryen burn/shadows deck, Lannister intrigue deck, and Greyjoy warship deck finished. Shew -- 3 more.

Nice. I plan to glance over the pdfs you linked this week, I could probably print out a few copies for newbies for you.

Yeah, that'd probably work. I have, I think, two rulebooks from my two core sets.

I gave away some of my tokens, I hope we have enough. Depends on how many games we get going at once. Should be ok.

I'll have my wife put together her freaking Stark murder deck tomorrow. I hate that thing. I'll work on some sort of Baratheon and Martell deck.
