Unacceptable! Shurijo and I need our fine craft beers.

If we were going to do Rochester, there is no shortage of Venues. I have a lot of contacts for that sort of thing, what with having been part of the LARP community here.

I'm looking into the Masoinic Lodge in terms of price, rules, etc. I'm doing the same for the one in Binghamton.

More details as I get them... and of course, if people decide that Rochester is an option.

As for timing, I'm out for Dragon*Con(Aug 28-Sept 1) and Pennsic (Jul 25-Aug 10,) as per usual.

Actually, after talking on the IRC, my place actually starts looking like a pretty good venue:

4 Gaming rooms in mildly inclement weather:
  1. Dining room
  2. Living room (best used for Artemis)
  3. Garage
  4. 14x18 Canvas tent
Lots of room for werewolf fire pit. And I could probably get at least one 14x20 canvas tent.

Parking is easy, there's a huge lot across the street that's always empty because most of the stores in the mini-mall are vacant.

ROC is a semi-major airport, mostly catering to regional jets, but not always.

Disadvantages: We would need to rent or buy tables, chairs, and lighting for the tent(s). It would need to take place sometime I'm actually available.

While not against Rochester per sey going out of town with 3 kids at home and a wife that works weekend changes my availability dramatically.

Like I said, not against Roch, but my availability changes. August would basically be out for me. Have 2 weekends already booked, and certain that mean's Amaris works the other two.

I'm fine with a smaller sort of thing. Who are we talking about here that are members of the site for this?

Vardaen
Brennor
Bitom
Wayloss
Eilandor
Trogdor
Shurijo
TetNak
Phlale

That's 9 people, easily done at someone's house right? That's assuming everyone could come, maybe a wife or two in there as well, but if we want to just keep it low key, doesn't seem to hard with that number.

I'd be out for august, anyway. Aug is a crazy month for me.

Here are some "bids" for Brencon:

We usually decide against July 4th Weekend, but I'll put it out there. it's an option for me. Casa Bitom would be available that weekend.

Casa Bitom would also be available on September 13th-14th and 20th-21st.

How do those dates look for people?

Also can add the following to the list, since they've made most of the previous events:
Pyg
Soshi
micro
Joni

... and possibly Hayabusa with his crazy travel regiment -- though I think he's out for sure this year.

Yeah, I didn't see any need to post here and I guess some know that I can't and why.

Yes, I have to stay at my 5 years in a row and won't be able to do my sixth year. I had tons of fun but my financial and job situation is just pretty much FUBAR right now and I have to see to still get something done.

However, I intend to travel over next year again.

I'm in the Let em know where and when and we can make it happen :) I need to know by the 10th on the month before hand to get time off of work. Otherwise it's to hotel/bunk accommodations. If in Rochester we have a comfy couch and can bunk 1 or two people w/o cat or baby allergy problems.
