Dragon Age - Grey Dawn

Post by Vardaen » Wed Aug 25, 2010 5:59 pm

Image Based on the Bioware Video Game Dragon Age: Origins this is a tweaked Pathfinder RPG game.

Set 30 years before the game, during the Orlesian Rule of Ferelden and the Rebelion that is to take place it is going to be a dynamic game. The time period will jump years at a time as the PCs explore various events that lead up to the Blight in the Video Game. Eventually becoming Grey Wardens, the group of different characters will explore Ferelden and perhaps even more of Thedas!
Blessed
8:42 Blessed: Emperor Florian of the Orlesian Empire invades and conquers Ferelden, sending a young King Brandel (13) into hiding. Ferelden is assimilated into the Orlesian Empire with Meghren as head of state, though a rebel force led by the king continues to hound Orlesian forces.

8:61 Blessed: (approx.) Moira the Rebel Queen is born of King Brandel.

8:55 Blessed: War between the qunari and the Tevinter Imperium continues as the qunari land and conquer Seheron in three years. Tevinter is left on its own to fight its war with the qunari, though the peace between the qunari and other lands is considered fragile. Several attempts by the qunari to land on the continent and attack Tevinter directly are repulsed.

8:70 Blessed: A war between Nevarra and Orlais over the control of the western hills around Perendale results in a Nevarran victory. However, Orlais proceeds to sow dissent and rebellion among the locals in Perendale, who resent Nevarran rule.

8:82 Blessed:(approx.) Prince Maric is born to the Rebel Queen Moira and Teyrn Voric of Gwaren.

8:96 Blessed: The Rebel Queen was assassinated by Bann Ceorlic and a group of Fereldan nobles who initially pretended to defect to their cause. Meghren had her head was mounted on a pike and displayed as both trophy and warning before the palace doors in Denerim. Her son Prince Maric escapes and is saved by Loghain.

8:99 Blessed: The previous several years have seen two dragon flights ranging out of the Frostback and Orkney Mountains, even though it was thought that dragons had been hunted to extinction by Nevarran dragon hunters during the Steel Age. The dragons devastate the countrysides in Orlais and Nevarra, and all attempts to slay them end in disaster. Despite the devastation, some see the return of dragons to Thedas as a glorious sign'€"Chantry scholars, however, claim that this is the worst of omens. As the Blessed Age draws to a close, they name the Dragon Age, saying that it will be an age of violence and upheaval.

8:99 Blessed: Ferelden rebels rise up against their Orlesian occupiers sparking the Fereldan Rebellion.
