Mutants and Masterminds: Infinity Crisis

Post by Shurijo » Tue Dec 07, 2010 12:27 am

Game System: Mutants and Masterminds, 2nd Edition

Game Master: Shurijo

Game Setting: Modern Age

Game Description:

In a world where mutants cower and hide from humanity's secret mutant hunting Agency, a handful of mutants seek shelter in the mutant organization called Sanctuary. Led by the mysterious man only known as the Shepard, these mutants believe that a war is approaching and they have a plan in mind, but they are missing a few critical pieces in order to complete their plan.

Meanwhile, thousands of mutants have been designated as dangerous and held captive by the Agency. Some detained mutants have found that working alongside the human agents provide better conditions than being detained. These mutants working, alongside human agents, bring in and detain mutants believe they can help prevent mutants from being killed by talking them into turning themselves in. The Agency believes they must protect the mutant disease from spreading and turning into a mutant plague. Many human agents and officers within the agency are beginning to become more at ease with mutants and accepting that not all mutants are as dangerous as previously designated.

Many mutants are unaware of either the Sanctuary or Agency. These mutants are beginning to develop powers and have not been discovered by the Agency. A handful of mutants have been able to avoid detainment and are on the run from the Agency. These mutants are on the most wanted list and are being actively pursued by the Agency.

How did the world end up like this? Only strangers from the future might know, but will they arrive in time to help prevent the destruction of earth or will their arrival result in more suffering?

The Infinity Crisis game will span multiple time lines and explore modern comic book concepts such as mutant hunting, alien invasions, zombie plagues, and the good versus evil gray areas that heroes find themselves stuck in during their adventures. There's always a crisis somewhere and each crisis could change everything. 'nuff said

My Goals:
* Maintain a decent M&M game for over a year :)
* GM my first game
* Provide players a fast-paced adventure focusing on Role Playing instead of roll playing
