Resources: The Story So Far...

Here I shall place the time line and story of the world of Eanador. Some of this is history I wrote a long time ago, some of it is the actual story from the campaign that we played and some of it is new material added for this incarnation of the game.
The Age of the Gods (Pre History)

The world was shaped out of Oythic's thought and place int he void of the universe. He formed much of what is today, favoring the sky and the sea, but his work was interrupted. The great deamon known only as Rhintrah, who has exsisted for as long as Oythic has, came from the void and saw the orb of Eanador and coveted it.

The two gods would meet in battle over Eanador ans their war would shape the world. Rhintrah called to aid him deamons from the dark corners of the universe. To counter Oythic would call his own aid, and from the stars he formed the angles, the lesser gods. For time untold the deamons and angles battled over the earth until finally the angles placed a great protective girdle over Eanador and sealed outside it, in the cold of space Rhintrah and his minions. Locking themselves within however meant that they had sealed Oythic outside, alone against horde of deamons, yet he escaped into the void. Little did they realize that trapped within the girddle were several deamonsof Rhintrah who scattered and crept into the deep dark places of the world to hide.

The angles, free from the deamons, now set to finishing Oythics work. This was how it would be for thousands of years as Rhintrah tried to break the girddle but could not. On occation Oythic would return, to check on his creation, from where he came and went no one has ever tried to guess. Some claim that when the sea or sky is torn appart with violence that it is Oythic again doing battle for his world. But the truth is the war has never truely ended.

Birds, beasts, fey, people and mosnters came to Eanador. Rhintrah's loal deamon spread hate and murder into the hearts of man, they spread disease and plauge, and in this way Rhintrah's influence and anger at loosing Eanador has always been felt. Chief among the deamons and agents of Rhintrah would be the creature known only as The Necromancer. Ever did he seek a way to break the girddle and allow his master back into the world, and his power grew great in secret.

Then came the time where the gods took people and guarded them, or perhaps it was the people that choose their gods. Athain took the ones now known as Argothains and taught them in his style. It was Athain that discovered the Necromaner and his hidden powers. He chose to face the servant of Rhintrah at once and alone.

A great battle took place an Athain cried out to his brothers and sisters for aid, but they arrived to help him too late, and some never came at all. In the end the Necromancer destroyed Athain, but at such a cost that when the others arrived he fled, his power nearly stripped from him. Oythic wept at the loss of his son. Athain's death also weakened the girddle of Eanador.

The Necromancer fled and nursed his wounds even as Othic returned to guard the girdle from the outside. Then came the age of man.

The Age of Man

Man and other humanoids came into their own centuries ago and were taken under the protective guidance of various gods. Perhaps it was the men that choose their gods, and not the other way around, but only the gods remember the truth these days. For centuries man learned, evovled, built cities and developed civilization. The history of the West is long and complicated, and no historian has a complete or accurate account. It is enough to say that distinct cultures arose in the West and in the other parts of the world as well. The city states as we know them grew and expanded until they stood much like they do today.

Then the Great War came, it began with Athain's attack on the Necromancer. Athain defeated, the people of Argothain were left without a protector. The priests of Athain continued to worship him, but could draw no prays or spells from their worship. Some turned to a druidic tradition similar to that of the Rogothains, but with their own cultural twists. Many a standing stone was errected in this age. The priests of Athain remained devote however, and learned herb craft, and became sages and wise men even without the power of their god to back them.

Two generations later when the Necromaner had nursed his body back to health he attacked Argothain first and his troops of Bloodred Hobgoblins, Twisted Mane Horsemen, and the feared Dreadnaught Extermination Troops rampaged over the Argothain defeating the nation taking only just over one year to accomplish. Many of the Argos and Thains remained in their home fighting a resistance war from the shadows while others fled to Tol Jarad in the north.

The army of Drakkar marched north and quickly took control of Ssisith Mul, but unlike Argothain the Necromancer didn't turn the jungle cities to ash and ruin, but instead began a long occupation of the magical lands. It was then that the Holy Armies of Cardolin marched out of their strongholds in the south and turned their military might against Drakkar and began a long war with the dark lord's forces.

To Be Continued...
It was here that the table top game began. The characters of Eric the Thain, Carvis the Butcher, Father Aramis, Linte Gurth (The Wainwright!), William the Thain, Dan Mysta and Caspian began their long adventure. Along the way Dan would die, Caspian would betray his friends and join the forces of Drakkar, and many a horse would have its head cut off by Carvis. I shall attempt to give a brief series of adventures or the main points of their exploits next.
