Luckily if both decks have different win conditions or styles of play you should be able to balance out the card load. If you don't use a certain type of card and she does, then she get's those, and vice version. But that doesn't account for the generic stuff all decks need to be decent.

Official Game #3

Lindsay: House Greyjoy
Jason: House Targaryen

- Not exactly the same decks, Lindsay stripped out a lot of cards to get down to 60 or so. Mine was pretty much the same as what she was using.

The first game was a complete route. Lindsay couldn't get any characters out. It only took 2 rounds, I won initiative each rounds, had unopposed challenges which got me her agenda cards, and on the second round played my plot card with 2 claim. Buh-bye.

Winner: House Targaryen 15-0

Record: 3-0

Official Game #4

Lindsay: House Greyjoy
Jason: House Targaryen

Played again, pretty much same result. She was threatening at the end with Euron Crow Eye and Wex Pyke, but I was able to kill Wex and had so many character even with Euron Crow Eye she couldn't do anything. Winner in 5 rounds

Winner: House Targaryen 15-2

Record: 4-0

I've decided to do my OCTGN games as well.

Me: Baratheon Brotherhood
vs.
Targaryen Dothraki

In setup I got the man, myth, and legend without a mulligan. Brotherhood absolutely requires Beric to be successful.

Image

Of course I'm using the Brotherhood Without Banners agenda that makes this all work.

Image

I run out to an 11-0 lead, everything is looking fine. Unfortunately I do not have a duplicate on Beric at any time ... typically, something like these cards are Beric's bane.

Image Image

Obviously, these are bad for Beric as they blank his text box. However, I had no fear of Meera as she's a Stark card, but the Nightmares were a concern.

Of course, this beautiful lady popped up.

Image
For whatever reason, I couldn't find a good image of Bitter Crone. Basically it says characters cannot be saved during military challenges.
The turn before, I have a card in my hand I'm waiting to use. Waiting, waiting, waiting ...

Image

But somehow I don't think about using it on Bitter Crone until after the marshaling phase. Of course, he's hitting me with military big time. Beric dies, I lose all my power, and eventually end up losing the entire game. :(

I suck!

I hate when I forgot to use a Reaction in L5R or plan for the use of soemthing, and the moment comes and goes. Can swing things. But you were playing an unknown person online right? Who knows the guy could be a genius at this sort of game.

Well, I don't think that was the case. Basically, I would have won in the next round or two if I would have just played the card :(

That always sucks, I've had those games. Generally when I loose to MV in L5R its because I forgot something, not because he is better than me ;)

Yeah. It sucks. I need to get better at deck building as well. GoT is really complicated. I played the new Star Wars LCG last weekend, it was way simpler.
