Beyond the boarders of the Emerald Empire lies a vast and diverse world centered around the Burning Sands -- a place cursed by Shilah the Sun and Kaleel the Moon. For too long the Samurai in Rokugan have remained ignorant of the greater world around them.
A danger is rising, but is it too late for the children of the Kami? Only you know that answer.Run by the Game Master Moto Vardaen
Round 3 Initiative (ToB) Silah 41 (+9), Yodotai 40, Snake 35 (+8), Emir and Jinn 29 (+10), Halil 22 (+1), Asami 22 (+1)
There is one Yodotai without a number, that is Decimus the leader. I think there is some confusion with Emir, as moving SW doesn't put him in range of anyone. So I'm tweaking things slightly for it to work.
Emir moves around the training target and steps up to the lead Yodotai guarding Decimus. He clocks the foriegner on the head cracking the man's head with his staff. Its not enough to do much, but it hurt him some and distracts him certainly.
Then the Jinn flames his fist and lets the man see it before he slams it into the chest of the Yodotai. The blow shatter's ribs and burns flesh. The Yodotai crumples against the wall knocked out clean and no more threat to anyone. His burning chest smoulders for a while.
Emir Move SW, 23 (1x) JUST hit #1 for 7 Wounds
Jinn Full Attack 2FR Att: 56 (2X,1x3) Hit for 28 Wounds, DEAD
Halil moves into the chamber drawing his knife and bracing himself for a counter attack. No longer focused on the illusion, the second Jinn vaoprises into nothing.
Even as he does Asami capitalizes on the hit Emir put on the one Yodotai. With a snap kick she shatters the shinbone of the yodotai dropping him to the ground. "BONZAI!" She screams as she takes the wounded man out of the fight for good now as the pain causes him to pass out.
Halil: Move, Full D ??
Asami Full Attack #1: (2FR Att): 30 Hit for 16 Wounds, OUT
Round 4 Initiative (ToB): Silah 48 (+7), Yodotai 40, Snake 32 (-3), Emir and Jinn 29 (N/A), Halil 27 (+5), Asami 22 (N/A)

Round 4 Initiative (ToB): Silah 48 (+7), Yodotai 40, Snake 32 (-3), Emir and Jinn 29 (N/A), Halil 27 (+5), Asami 22 (N/A)
Silah darts past everyone moving south through the room. He throws himself off the throne area at the last Yodotai other than Decimus and slices the throat of the man. The jambiya dagger opens up the artery of the Yodotai's throat and sends him falling to the ground in a bloody heap. Only one Yodotai remains.
Decimus spins, wounded and drained, he targets Silah, the man that's cutting down his men. "You won't get away with this!" He plunges his galdius into the leg of Silah, but the Assassin spins, and the wound is only grazing.
Silah: Full Attack 27 hit for 5k2+3=36(2x) DEAD
Decimus: Move S, Full Attack Silah (5FR, 3 Hit, 2 Dmg): 5k3+15, vs TN 28 = 35 Hit for 5k3 = 18 Wounds [Void Soaks 10] = 8 Wounds Grazed +3TN

The Snake smiles in grim joy, hefting his knife. With Silah's quick action, Decimus has been stripped of all of his protection. The leader of the Yodotai may be a master tactician when he has a squad of support, but alone he evidently panics. He has opened himself up and will suffer for it. Rushing forward towards Decimus' exposed back, the Jackal slices swiftly to cripple the doomed man.
Full Attack on Decimus. That should make for 5 total Free Raises, since he Full Attacked Silah. 3 Free Raises to Hit, 2 Free Raises to Damage. If he has Earth 1 now, give or take 13 damage should put him Down. Whatever damage roll I get, I don't want to kill him. Choose whichever damage dice would only cripple rather than kill. I want to do that Ritual!
Rule Number 12: "A soft answer turneth away wrath. Once wrath is looking the other way, shoot it in the head."
Emir takes a step back from the fight and looks over to his Jinn, while he did hear the Snakes urge to not kill Decimus, he won't break his bargain with the Jinn. With no way to incapacitate the man himself, the Sahir waits watching what unfolds with the rest of the group.
I'm assuming given the Jinn's attitude, and desire to kill would make him still attack. Especially given the deal I had made with the Jinn earlier... I figured I'd leave the Jinn's actions up to your discretion.
The Snake moves forward and with his knife in hand he slices the hamstring of Decimus and the yodotai commander topples over. "Arrrgh!" He reaches down to his leg, the pain is too great, and the blood loss is now overwhelming him. A moment before the Jinn of Unbridgled Might can attack the Yodotai Decimus passes out slumped on the ground before the 'throne' with the Jackal Necromancer leaning over him protectively.
The Jinn chooses to finish off one of the other Yodotai that was only down and not dead, and with a punishing blow it cracks the man's skull through his helm.
The battle ends, the Yodotai are either dead, dying, or at your mercy now.
The snake takes Decimus to Out, but not dead. So no reason the Jinn would then attack him, one of the Other Yodotai was technically at down, but he kills him.
The fight is over! No one died, wow! Feel free to RP outside of combat rounds now.

The Jackal grins very creepily, unwinding some cloth and binding the wound of the Yodotai to prevent him from bleeding out just yet. A quick glance around shows that all of his other compatriots are fine, and the enemies dead. Best to get about it then. He pulls the damned pilum from his leg after a few pulls, stands there breathing hard for a moment, then throws the useless thing aside.
Looking around at the group, he making a shooing gesture with his hands. "This Ritual can have some ... interesting side effects. Best to not be too close." With that warning, he pulls out a ceramic jar from his belongings and sets it near the unconscious Yodotai. It is marked with swirling script and images, unsettling to the eye. The Snake kneels down and begins chanting, using his fingers to draw symbols in the air, different from the ones before.
Fantastic! Time to use the 'special' Soul Jar I was given.
Rule Number 12: "A soft answer turneth away wrath. Once wrath is looking the other way, shoot it in the head."
The Jackal Necromancer removes from his robes a Soul Jar. There have been rumors of these devices in the Jewel of the Desert for centuries. They are said to be able to consume and contain the soul of defeated enemies. During the time known as the Awakening, these jars were used to fuel the power of the mad Jinn Kaleel. To most they are fables and stories used to scare children at night, and the occational grown man. Now The Snake has produced one such jar and is beinging a ritual to consume the soul of the Yodotai leader Decimus!
You can go ahead and do up this post as nice as you like. It works so don't worry about failure.

Silah sheathes his knives watching the Jackal Necromancer closely. He doesn't know what the other man is doing, but the assassin is always interested in new things he can learn. He stays silent until the man is done, concerned that he may interrupt the ritual.
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."
Halil stands back, glad that the bloodshed is over and that he did not have to spill any himself nor got wounded again. As the ackal draws forth the odd device he studies it closely, wondering if it might be one of the ancient devices of legend...
