Diplomacy 2

Diplomacy is a strategic board game. Its main distinction from most board wargames is negotiation: Players spend much of their time forming (and betraying) alliances with other players. Set in Europe just before the beginning of World War I , Diplomacy is played by seven players, each controlling the armed forces of a major European power.

Russian Commies Break Pact With Honorable England

In another press release the traitorous Russian troups were denounced for their attack on English soil in mainland Europe. The Prime Minister Vardaen looked sorely disappointed after all the help he gave to the Russians. "I am truely disappointed that Czar Galen felt the need to allign himself with evil powers. England will not stand by as Russian agression sweeps over the world."

Question regarding the rules.

I attacked Greece last turn with two different armies, I assumed that the first one offering support, or suppressing its moves, would make it so the second would win.

Is there a particular command I should have used to hold it in place unstead of support?

reiteration:

I meant why did his army have the ability to withdraw to serbia? effectively taking some of my land.

I did not withdraw my unit but moved it to serbia, and as it was unoccupied it succeeded ;)

Yep, that is exaclty what the Turkish army did a few turns ago when it retreated into Serbia. To retreat the province must be free. And if you look at the orders, Austrias Army actually moved to Serbia on purpose, leaving Greece defensless.
