Yeah, well, I know jack shit about that kind of stuff (that's why I always request a law-roll) so I don't know what's possible and what not. Although I have difficulties seeing why Riley is fired. Sure, he was into some weird shooting and stuff but nothing that says he's a crooked cop or abusing his position.

And I don't know how exactly Riley was built. I sure would be pissed (that doesn't go against you, Tet) if some of my merits would go to waste. Sure, Contacts wouldn't change but what about Status and others... if those even exist.

Anyway, that "I got kicked out (...)" sounds nice, Bit.


Can we resume posting? I'm asking because "Aftermath" sounds so definitive and I'm not sure if there's a new chapter now...

Are you guys joking me???? 3 known gunfights froom Riley who is a cop. Do you think that the government wants that guy on the force? These are, of course not in the line of duty. You guys are lucky they don't find some way to put you on trial. If you read the Hunter books a huge problem is how to manage your personal life, including work, and your hunting life. You guys weren't careful enough. Deal with it.

My "Unions push for more money" take was mostly based on the fact that the first monetary offer is a lowball one, and the police have a pretty rabid union when it comes to dismissals without criminal charges. If Tet wants to say that the 50k is the result of the union's work and not the first offer, that makes perfect sense to me.

Riley being suspended also makes perfect sense. Any one of the incidents he's been in alone wouldn't get him suspended, but when a guy's been in 3 gunfights in a year when NOT on duty, there's something up. If nothing else, he'd get booted to avoid bad press. (Headline: Vigilante cop does it again! or "Court fails to find wrongdoing in officer's fifth shootout")

Tet, are you waiting on post-recovery posts, or will that be a new chapter?

Mostly I was just figuring out what we wanted to do so I could start a new chapter, also, dealing with work blockage and stuff. Feel free to post until I get going again.
