Prelude - Graceful Oaks: Portents and Omens

The Age of Magic is ended, Bhall, the Goddess of Fire, has succumbed to the whispers of Agares and fallen into Hell. Her worshipers and creations driven mad, and fire, which has been a powerful ally to man, has turned against him. Each good god was charged with the opposition of an evil god. Bhall was responsible for balancing Mulcarn, the God of Winter. Finding himself unopposed Mulcarn has broken The Compact and moved into Creation.

Creation was on the verge of another open war between the gods, that which they had outlawed with The Compact. To keep that from happening a deal was struck and the gods agreed that one god would enter Creation to challenge Mulcarn. That was Sucellus, the God of Nature. The two gods battled across the face of Creation, entire civilizations still recovering from the Burning Skies that marked the fall of Bhall were destroyed by their power. In the end Sucellus was killed and Mulcarn remained.

The Eternal Winter has begun...

Syrrons staggers as the arrow grazes his shoulder. The red-haired elf hisses in pain as his eyes grow wide. He rushes forward to meet the threat. His hands come up as he calls on his innate powers to combat the dog the greatest threat to him. A shimmering rainbow of color blasts out.
Move 5 e Cast color spray. Try as I might you put the dogs 20 apart so unless you can fanagel a cone to cover both of them I will try for the north most dog.

Round 1 Initiative: Dreams 18.4, Dogs 9.2, Dreams 9.1, Goblins 7.6, Syrronas 6.3, Cevelan & Suli 4.3
Syyronas hisses as he races forward to meet the first of the goblins hounds. He places his hands together and a fan of color sprays from his finger tips. The magic of the color is pure arcane energy, and it flares forward striking the dog with rare power. The goblin hound slumps forward in the mud, its muzzle planted firmly in the wet ground, its eyes are wide open and swirl with a rainbow pattern. Stunned, blinded, and knocked out cold, the first hound will be little trouble for a long while.
Syrronas: Move, Color Spray H1: Save 8 vs 15 Fail! The creature is unconscious, blinded, and stunned for 5 rounds, then more later.

Yikes!

Celevan steps forward and lays a hand on Suli's back. Quickly he speaks a few mystic words and channels arcane energy to protect his companion. "Go Suli," he says, "get the other dog."

The newly-protected eidolon then rushes the dog, while Celevan draws the sling from his belt.
Celevan
Five Foot Step: E
Standard Action: Cast Mage Armor on Suli
Move Action: Draw sling

Suli
Move Action: SE E E E
Standard Action: Attack H2; try and trip it, if successful.
Yea, he's gonna get hit by the disease. What can you do?

Round 1 Initiative: Dreams 18.4, Dogs 9.2, Dreams 9.1, Goblins 7.6, Syrronas 6.3, Cevelan & Suli 4.3
Cevelan steps forward and puts a hand on Sultor, he channels arcane energy to protect his companion. A protective armor covers the wolf and should keep him safer. The eidolon wolf rushes the other hound and pounces on it, its teeth rip into the dander and flea infested flesh of the goblin dog opening up a huge bleeding wound on the side of the animal. Yanking hard Suli attempts to drag his prey to the ground, but the slippery, and foul tasting goblin dog manages to escape the vice like jaw of Suli. Bleeding badly, and already going pale the rat-dog won't survive another bite like that. Suli begins to yelp, and then he rubs his muzzle in the snow, then he's itching behind his ears, and soon the eidolon has broken out into a full flede alleric reaction to the danger and disease of the goblin hound! Almost instantly the wolf appears mangey, and is twitching and itching nonstop.
Suli Move/Attack H2: 17 hit for 7 Dmg

Trip: CBM: 9 vs CMD:14 Fail to Trip

Suli Fort Save vs Allergic Reaction: 11 vs DC 12 Fail!
[Suli -2 Dex, and -2 CHA for one day]
Round 2 Initiative: Dreams 18.4, Dogs 9.2, Dreams 9.1, Goblins 7.6, Syrronas 6.3, Cevelan & Suli 4.3

I think I'm going to use all the elven words while its just you guys for names. Celevan not BlueEyes, Allareia not Dreams, etc.

Actually, the Elohim word for "Dreams" would be "Tirris"--"Allareia" means "Follower." Allareia does sound nicer though ...
Seeing that Suli seems to have the goblin dog well in hand (or mouth as the case may be), Dreams decides that the wisest course of action would be to take out the goblin's leader, the huntkillmaster. She steps forward, calling on Junil and Lugus to empower her hand, and fires at the huntkillmaster.
Move action: Move forward to get in closer range of the huntkillmaster, but not so close that I'm in the mud or on top of Suli and the goblin dog. I guess that would be four squares forward. Then invoke Smite Evil vs. the huntkillmaster. Standard Action: Fire shortbow at the huntkillmaster.

Round 2 Initiative: Dogs 9.2, Allareia 9.1, Goblins 7.6, Syrronas 6.3, Cevelan & Suli 4.3

Ooops, I forgot to remove Dreams' old init. Its okay, but I fixed it now. And Allareia would be a good short version of the name, people take the first word anyhow and Recultant actually is pretty accruate more than Dreams, so call it a quirk of elven-common translation.
Before Allareia can fight back the enemy goblin hound attempts to defend itself. One of them is laying on the ground out of this fight for a long while, but the other snaps at Suli. The little rat like dog chomps on Suli, but the magical protection around the wolf, placed there by Celevan prevents the teeth form taking hold. Impotently it howls in disgust
Dog 1 Unconscious, blinded and stunned
Dog 2 Attack Suli 16 Miss
Then the Paladin of the Elohim steps forward, she moves up toward the mud, but not into it deeply. The enemy goblin, fondly calling itself a huntkillmaster is tucked down behind the trees. She calls on Junil and Lugus both to guide her aim and smite her evil foes. Her weapon takes on a light green-white glow and she fires. Unfortunately her bow is not a longbow, nor a composite. It fires right on target, but it lands short, just beyond the range of her draw. The goblin master howls in delight.
Allareia: Move, Smite Evil vs HuntKillMaster, Shoot HKM (Range -2): 15 + CHA(4) = 17 Miss. So without the range, the smite would have made that a hit.

Smite Evil is really cool this version. Dreams is buffed up as well. (+4AC vs HKM)

A note, since I do detailed maps, always make sure you give detailed movement and target numbers just like you did East 4 Squares, or E,E,E,E Attack #G1, etc. This helps me from having to guess. You'll see the other two doing it for example. Just keep up the good work like you have been and it will be fine. I realize you're still new to this so we'll help you out.
The two goblins cackling some, reload their bows and fire back across the water. They put themselves in a decent position, but failed to realize their bows have a short range as well. Goblin tactics, what do you want? The two fire at about the same time, arrive flying through the trees, but they land short in the icy cold waters of the stream with two splashes, and two missed targets.
Goblins 1: Shoot Syyronas 7 Miss
HKM: Shoot Dreams 13 Miss
Syyronas followed by Suli and his master Celevan...

Round 2Round 2 Initiative: Dogs 9.2, Allareia 9.1, Goblins 7.6, Syrronas 6.3, Cevelan & Suli 4.3
Syyronas draws his blade, the fine elven weapon is held loosely in his hands. He starts wadding into the mud and finds it difficult to get his feet pushing through it. He looms over the downed goblin dog now, the smell from the beast is something terrible -- let wet rat and goblin waste.
Draw/Move. Been a long time since we'd had to deal with that BAB 0.
Celevan and his Eidolon...

Trying to ignore the itching caused by the diseased dog, Suli continues to bite at the foul creature, attempting once more to drop it to the ground.

Celevar, meanwhile, moves closer to the stream and summons more help in the form of a very large celestial dog.

Upon appearing, the dog runs to the stream, leaps over it, and makes a beeline towards the nearest goblin.

Round 2 Initiative: Goblin Dogs 9.2, Allareia 9.1, Goblins 7.6, Syrronas 6.3, Cevelan & Suli & Dog 4.3

Buffs and Stuffs
Allareia: Smite Evil vs Huntkillmaster: +4Att, +1 Dmg, +4 AC vs.

Suli: Mage Armor, Allergy -2 CHA, -2 DEX
Suli ignores the itching, in fact the itching fuels the wolves attack. Pouncing on the goblin dog a second time the Eidolon Wolf grabs the throat of the goblin dog and rips its gizzard clean out! There is no howl of pain from the enemy hound since its wind pipe in dangling from Suli's maw, blood and gore splattered about it. The wolf, on the prowl now, and hungry for more battle charges toward the river and leaps across from muddy bank to muddy bank without any coaxing.
Suli: Attack H2: 'œ20' (Crit: 'œ19') Critical Hit for 11 Dmg, DEAD : Move EEEE
Celevan moves forward right up to the mud. He pauses there and begins to draw on his assimar exisitance to summon a celestial dog ot aid him and you all. Forming up quicker than you might expect, a large dog, with some crystal spikes that rise up off its back appears on the other side of the stream. The dog takes off through the mud as best as it can pushing its way until it reaches the hard packed earth. It bursts through the trees threatening the Huntkillmaster, but it fights off some branches loosing any chance it had to attack for the moment.
Celevan: Move, Summon Celestial Dog
Dog: Move/Move

Your summon power lasts 1 min per level, not round!!! Woohoo. Also allows for that Standard action instead of Full Round. Nice.

Round 3 Initiative: Goblin Dog 9.2, Allareia 9.1, Goblins 7.6, Syrronas 6.3, Cevelan & Suli & Dog 4.3

Suli: Mage Armor, Allergy -2 CHA, -2 DEX
With one goblin hound dead, and the other knocked out and blinded by Syyronas, Relectant Follower of Dreams acts...
